11th May 2021 - Seven Chicks? - Blue tit nest box live camera highlights

Well, well, well. One of the chicks has been playing hide and seek with us for a day. There was another eggshell spotted at 530am on the 2nd day of hatching but no sign of a chick. There were two more shells discarded (eaten) today. We all only saw four chicks yesterday and 6 chicks today but here at the nest box there was always the question of what had happened with the 530am Monday shell. It was a blink and you miss it event.
Having carefully trawled through Tuesday's footage it seemed that just at one moment there was seven mouths.
