Been watching UConn since the early 90s, and I still can’t believe how fortunate I’ve been to witness these 6 titles. Never could have dreamed of this level of success for the program.
I am in the same boat remember Chris Smith like it was yesterday.
Shout out to Coach Calhoun. He built a phenomenal program out of the dirt. Dan Hurley bringing it to the next level. Congrats to all!
It's a blessed time to be a Huskies fan. I started following UConn when Kemba Walker was there

Clingan showed his generational defensive anchor ability, but the difference between edey in him how they were used on offense was stark. Clingan was very Walton esque with his passing and involvement in intricate offense. Hes also a way more versatile defender as you saw uconn sets destroy edey.
UConn's guards ate Purdue's guards
Pause but yea 😂💯
Uconn offense : Ok, lets run set 4 variation 2 Purdue offense: pass to Edey, pass to Edey, pass to Edey, pass to Edey, Braden layup, pass to Edey, pass to Edey
Also, the abysmal drop coverage defense Purdue ran all game was exploited by the athletic and skilled UConn guards. Drop coverage is a sham; only works if you have a really athletic rim protector with mobility, which isn't Edey's game.
Connecticut Coronation 👑 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
So many amazing stats about this incredible run, beyond the number of consecutive tournament victories by 13+ points. 30-0 run against one of the best offenses in the country (Illinois). Holding one of the best fast break teams in the country (Alabama) to 0 fast break points. Holding the second best three point shooting team in the country (Purdue) to ONE made three pointer. On and on. Any style of ball you want to play this team will beat you, and badly.
UConn perfectly executed their game plan of locking down the guards and limiting 3's. Doesn't matter how many points Edey scores when you hold them to 1-7 from 3 lol.
Still remember watching games in the 90’s and thinking will this program ever get to a Final Four in my lifetime? 😅

March madness classic ❤
Where are all those Purdue fans that i went back and forth with saying Purdue would wipe Uconn for the last two years? I told ya`ll Uconn was a bad matchup and it wouldnt be close. With Sanogos mobility and shooting they wouldve lost by 25 last year.
55:30 uconn bench’s reaction to Edey’s airball
All I kept hearing was, "Wait until Uconn faces Purdue." Didn't go well 😕
Been hearing that since 23`. I tried to warn them it wasnt going to playout like they thought it would. Now they know.
Cam spencer owning purdue in both a Rutgers and Uconn jersey 😬

@@mr.nobody9697 no there was a slip off period from 2014-2021 if you were a UConn fan you would know that
The first few minutes were as good as it was going get for Purdue.
@31:05 The first 18 minutes: 30 - 32 UConn
Atleast NCAA teams call themselves National Champions unlike NBA Congrats to UConn btw
The most dominant team of all time.
When Dan pushed Cam I finally saw a little bit of his crazy!
44:23 You're welcome
@45:17 lovely replay
3 peat!!!???
Coincidentally, the last time UConn and Purdue met, the Boilermakers scored 60 points. 2009 West Regional Semifinal (Glendale, Arizona), UConn won 72-60. Strategywise, I thought UConn had the smartest approach: knowing Edey will get his points, try to suffocate Edey’s teammates and force them to drive instead of catch and shoot.

UConn - "A drinking school with a basketball problem"
Huskies 🐺
Tennessee took the blueprint FDU used to beat Purdue and failed UConn took the blueprint FDU used to beat Purdue and succeeded
Yeah okay, FDU would have gotten a beat down too by UConn, if it wasn't for Edey Purdue would have lost by 30.
@@jeromedanielson4422 He never said FDU would beat Uconn lol! Relax tiger.
@2:00 "Nice little flair screen." Does 'flair' mean 'moving' in this case?
@2:33 How do you get Spencer, a great shooter, wide open? Run a moving screen so the defender has no chance to guard him. *That* is the UConn secret to success in a nutshell. You're welcome!
@@DavidJackeMeyer you mad?

No contest
If you did not love watching how uconn played basketball these last 2 yrs then you're just a fake fan of basketball.
@15:07 Loyer's first flop ...
@30:08 it's contagious, Jones! FLOP
@43:03 Practice FLOPping, and it becomes your instinct. Weakens your game.
They should have played 4 quarter games than 2

@19:47 Refs do have the rule in mind, evidently. What was illegal about this one? Stance looks solid, not wider than shoulders, takes an elbow to the face.
@22:33 oh the irony! Edey is set, unlike UConn's floating, shuffling, and hip-thrusted screens.
@50:34 FINALLY, a moving screen is called. Ever wonder "How does Spencer get wide open" throughout the tournament ... it's always a moving screen (usually Klingan though).
Even with the moving screens, UConn out-paced & out-hustled Purdue, and didn't flop. Congrats to a resilient team.
Edey was the easy pick for MOP. Newton was just another guy. Got the win but Edey was flat out dominant.
