Don’t give up! My hubby had head and neck cancer last year, but he has recovered and free of cancer. My mother at 82 was diagnosed and treated with lung cancer at the same time and is cancer free! Key to all this: Matt is a professional gambler. The rest of us are pikers content to catch a few hundo here and there, occasionally a jackpot, sometimes a great one. Last sunday I took down 7700.00 in jackpots playing nickles and dimes. Last night nearly lost half playing nickles dimes and dollars. Bottom line: never go back the next day unless you are someone like Matt with a business model to work and a true love of gambling. Key to all this: Matt is a professional gambler. The rest of us are pikers content to catch a few hundo here and there, occasionally a jackpot, sometimes a great one. Last sunday I took down 7700.00 in jackpots playing nickles and dimes. Last night nearly lost half playing nickles dimes and dollars. Bottom line: never go back the next day unless you are someone like Matt with a business model to work and a true love of gambling. I think we all have a certain amount of passion for it, but for him it is truly a lifestyle, a business and love affair with risk and reward whose side effect is something he does quite well, entertain. How many fathers have the blessing of working well with their children?
It’s obviously none of my/our business but i would be super interested to see how it nets out at the end of the year - what does the over/under look like come tax time? Break even? Ahead? Behind? Also, how do comps work with taxation? Ie if you get a 10k/night villa for a week for free is that 70k worth of FBT you have to pay?
