  • I quit band in seventh grade, but I remember it well, and this video is so nostalgic. The parts with saying to tiptoe over the cases and with the brass blasting were most memorable, not gonna lie. I played in brass, and my eardrums would be lucky if they weren’t bleeding at the end of the lesson because I was right near the tubas just trying to quietly play my euphonium.

  • As an ex-trombone player (band started directly after lunch in elementary and I didn't want to get food in my trombone) that is 100% why you should clear out before brass begins to play. (even though I was the only trombone player among woodwind and a few trumpet players)

  • The only problem with having a trumpet is I can't assemble my instrument incorrectly. I remember one kid put a penny in his alto sax when we were warning up for our concert that night and it came out while we were playing and our band teacher said, "I don't know who that was but parents one of your kid is making money!" We all found it funny and the kid had forgotten he put it in there. Ahh good times. Also 3:52 headphones users beware.

  • Ok this reminds me of 6th grade. We were playing a Chinese song, and one of our saxs (I’m a clarinet btw) said “it sounds like a Chinese song” the whole class just erupted in laughter, myself included. We still tease him about it to this day, and it’s been two years. 😂 And the time in 7th grade a different band director had to teach my class bc our band director wasn’t here, actually played this electric piano to how he felt. It isn’t the best thinking about this when your playing something Samba Le Le. 🤣🤣
