Worked on a property last year where every faucet and shower head had this issue. Easy fix overall, they all worked great afterwards.

I've never seen a plastic filter like that. No wonder the faucet acted weird. Machines often have problems with perforation when it comes to plastic. Here in Germany the filters are mesh, made out of metal.

Why not just put it in vinegar? Seems a bit exessive for my taste, or is it not lime thats causing the blockage?

It’s not scale on this one, debris from the old galvanized pipes. It’s actually super easy to do.

Oh great, am I going to try a video I found on KZhead Shorts? My faucet is spraying water every which way, some of it gets on the counter. Edit: Just tightening it seemed to work.

Great job! Yeah, if it’s spraying from the top of the aerator. It’s not tight enough or gasket misaligned.

Your faucet probably just needs descaling.
