Between 1:19 and 1:20 if you slow down the video, you can actually see that UI marks the wall of tunnel with red warning sign as collision point, and Tony indeed scratches that wall on his way out of the building. In a few years time we'll all know just how important this film was for our generations. Not kidding, my 1st year of Btech and I talked to a lot of freshers about why they chose engineering. All answered they wanted to build something like the Iron Man suit a reality. This movie single-handedly created an entire generation of engineers. That aside, its still one of the best superhero movies for me.

I kind of wish they'd had Vision interact with Tony more. Yes, he was only part Jarvis, but his personality was most informed by the part that was Jarvis, and his memories were likely of Jarvis to some extent. It would've been nice to see the two interact with the dynamic they had here shifted a bit and seeing them adjust to that. Imagine a scene where Tony is warning Vision against something, in a friendly but concerned way, and Vision just looks at him and says "Sometimes you have to run before you can walk".
Vision didn't get a lot of time to develop in general. He was born in Ultron, in the background of Civil War, and then he was hunted in Infinity War while Tony was off planet. That said, it's entirely possible that if we ever get some solo Vision stories, he might have flashbacks where he and Tony got to interact. There was plenty of time for those two to get to know each other better off-screen.
U over thinking this tbh

This science gets me everytime. Literally my most favourite scene in the entire iron man trilogy or any of his suit ups. The way he finally reached the border of the atmosphere and he is about to fall because he didn't calculate for the "icing problem" It represents the balance between scientific drive and discovery as well as potential danger and destruction and it all comes together as he nearly hits the ground. Love it so much. All in 4 minutes no less.
Man his reaction in the entire flight feels so genuine… Like when you remember flying is one of the most known dreams out there, and it just becomes a reality
This movie had what a lot of later MCU films just lacked: a sense of wonder of the hero discovering their abilities like when Tobey Maguire learned to swing. Captain America becomes buff and immediately chases a guy down. Strange does nothing with his weird powers in his film. Really wish they brought some of this Magic back
The first time I saw this movie, looking at Start working on the Mk II suit, I really thought Iron Man really was a technology we could have achieved within a few years. A decade later and we are still struggling to wear masks smh.
@@yhachpham7291 Go look up Gravity Industries. The tech is here but the general public's still stupid
Ant-Man definitely explored his abilities and we see him train. Captain America was able to run bc it's...running. His powers are fairly basic and thanks to the serum, he can adapt fairly quickly to most things, even using Mjolnir for the first time. Interestingly the one thing he struggled to adapt to was modern everyday life.
@@vibraniumshield7383 Considering how Cap's arc ended, I don't think he even fully succeeded at adapting to the modern day. And he's okay with that.
Strange had to let go of all his previous knowledge of what he thought he knew and studied his ass off and even when he started to fight he was still struggling with his power, and his cape fighted better than him, but still Strange didn't have it easy at first either, he got better by reading about what he could do, struggled a bit, and later used his wits and some of his powers to save the day, and he got the wonders too.
When JARVIS said "perhaps we should improve the exoskeleton in case we visit another planet" it was a foreshadow for tony in end game when he got stranded in the benetar..

The shots of Tony flying up and aiming straight for the moon have a subtle poetry to them now. It's like subconsciously, primally, he knew he had unlocked not just a new destiny for himself, but an entirely new tier of destiny for humanity. What's so great about Phase 1 of the MCU is how it captures the human element. Aside from Thor, and arguably Cap's shield material, every superhero is born from nothing but humanity's own ingenuity and willpower, their creativity and soul. Cap's heart, Tony's mind, Banner's willpower, Black Widow and Hawkeye's skills, Nick Fury's foresight: each first human Avenger represents and contributes the peak offerings of the Human race, which makes their collective first victory against an alien invasion so much more satisfying. Like seeing the first man on the moon in the real world, it's scenes like this (even in fiction) that inspire young minds to chase our greatest potential. Iron Man deserves to be remembered as a masterpiece, if for nothing else than for what it represents.

With that suit also having the capability to not only fly above the sr-71 blackbirds record, but to also be able to fly in space
Jesse ybarra why use sr-71 as an example? It’s not even the highest flying plane.
@@michaelesposito2629 Oh? do you know of some experimental plane that is still classified? The SR-71 is the highest flying plane. Yes, there HAVE been planes that have gone higher, but that is only because they literally had rocket boosters attached to them. In the case of the X-15 it was even ferried by a B-52 to the B-52's max altitude. The fact is, is that the sr-71 is the highest flying PLANE, manned rockets and airplanes that need a boost from another plane don't count.
@Yuri DeKhed that was not SUSTAINED flight. he used ALL his boost to obtain that altitude (and completely scrapped that plane). He just got his plane going as fast as he could then pointed himself skyward, afterwards he had to glide his plane in because his engines were completely fried. Additionally, with a 2 rocket payload, the max altitude was 78,000 feet (and it could only reasonably sustain that altitude for about 5-10minutes) and with the standard 4 missile payload it was ~68,000 feet. The MiG-25 was even unable to launch its rockets above 85,000 feet. The Sr-71 could hold 95,000+ for HOURS at Mach 3+ and level flight. If an Sr-71 was *wasted* like Alexandr did his MiG-25 it would reach atleast 150,000+ feet.
@Yuri DeKhed The question is "highest flying" not "highest altitude reached." Flight is NOT freefall (which is what the MIG-25 does to reach anything over 85,000 feet)
Give me the heavy armor any time. I have no hate for the nanotech. It's cool that Tony is always evolving the armor. But this suit is the best. ♥

2023, and the scene is still awesome 👏🔥
This scene looks great in 1080p with 60hz. It seems to move much more fluidly and smoother than when you watch it on DVD. This is one of several reasons why I now buy my media on blu-ray. It may be pricier, but it is so worth it when you get better resolution and frame rate, plus depending on the distributor and/or edition of the movie, you get better special features and, more than often, an alternate cut or two.
0:47 when the loose hit hats come in...pure filth. Such a dirty drum section that makes this more badass
