    • @Jay Harv28 I actually don’t mind fairy types. Dragons didn’t need balancing in the older gens where there were so few of them, but as so many had been introduced by later gens, they needed to be nerfed for game balance. So imo Fairy type was a good addition

But overall, I think they did a really good job of capturing the original style and nostalgia of the games, while mixing it with a more modern era. Like you said, these remasters are literally Diamond and Pearl, just updated to 3D, and I love that!

I just didn't like that battling wasn't a normal thing anymore and you basically just sold Pokemon to the professor so he could give you candy that I always thought about as he chopped them up and made them candied so... Wasn't really... A good system I guess, it got old and was a bit weird. Good on paper but meh in practice

    • @@NinjaTyler Pokemon games tend to be very "what you see is what you get" when it comes to prerelease footage. Also, given that fact that ORAS didn't have customization and these remakes are being made by an outside studio which can have very strict corporate oversight (look at how TPC treats alternative costumes when it comes to Smash) I doubt we're getting character customization. The most I expect are the platinum outfits.

    • That is actually my biggest issue. Every remake the trainers got an updated design. And they just kept the original outfits for BDSP. I wish at least they would’ve chosen the Platinum clothes if they were gonna do that. Those were cooler.

    • As someone who has played the originals, (platinum actually being my favourite Pokémon game), I am extremely disappointed with what they’ve done. I was really excited to see these games brought to life properly in 3d, and considering the standard that previous remakes have set, I expected these to be the best ones so far. To me, doing the remakes in this way just feels like another cash grab and a way of getting people to stop asking for them.

    • @Nathan Explosion omg this isn't close to being anywhere near ORAS. ORAS was it's own game with a unique 3D art style that complimented the new world around it. This shit promises to be nothing but a layer of unnappealing paint over the game we all played and probably have from 14 years ago.
