  • Probably the best forehand tutorial I've seen... and I've watched LOADS. Simple, direct, actionable! Thank you!

  • What a fantastic drill for practicing your swing. It only helps with the swing but also to establish a good contact point. Thank you!

  • @RevolutionaryMotion Very Interesting drill. I am right handed player I thought after hitting the shot my right foot will come forward with the swing . But here you are balancing by stepping through left foot. Can youexplain more on this?

  • We are always stepping with left foot fwd during the ball contact in this video and I do that often and I always felt it locks my hips. Maybe what you are saying is the right way and I do hit like that. But in many videos we are told get the right left around forward at end for a forehand shot, when should that happen? Way after ball contact or during ball contact? Basically I am asking, should we contact ball when left foot steps forward and when the right foot comes around forward. Thanks

    • We want to avoid hip rotation during the contact point as much as we can to keep control over our shots. A step with the left foot across during the contact point helps to avoid that hip rotation. If you hit with a closed stance and feel your right foot coming forward during your shot you need to make sure that you try to avoid that foot movement until the ball has left your racket. Hope this answers your question! :)

  • The biggest myth in tennis is linear body motion through the ball. Watch the pros - they are rotational only, for good biomechanical reasons.
