Hello everyone, thanks for watching my video.
I don’t normally talk so this will be the first time I talk and if there’s not a lot of good feedback then I’ll go back to being silent if that’s better.
Overall it’s an interesting experience! So thanks again for taking some of your time for this!
This is the link to Guns.com:

Guns.com is not paying me to say this, this is me just saying they have great deals for great guns! Definitely check out their Certified Used Guns as well!
PS: Sorry for the boring voice, again this is my first time talking so I’m a bit nervous.

  • I have a real nice 1983 P1 police pistol. Lever is European style heal mag release. It was out dated after 1911 . But it's not as complicated as Button release and Germans could pack extra safety features in without button release. P1 is the pinnacle of that design of the day. Now you have your Beretta which US used with double stack and button release But uses the P-38 / P1 design features, as you mentioned.

    • Yes sir, that all sounds about right! And that’s nice! I remember when they would sell P1’s for like 500 back in 2018-19. It’s kind of hard to find one that’s all matching. This one is made up of random parts from a P38 and a P1. So to hear you got a real nice one from '83 is awesome! I do miss my M9, I notice both the Beretta M9 and P38/P1 are picky with ammunition. Now that they have M9’s for a cheaper price, I plan on getting one again. Thanks for telling me your experience and story! It’s always nice to read other’s experiences!

    • @docbrowning4762 I actually have not had any feeding issues. The cartridge from clip to barrel is close not much climb. Possible polishing feed ramp and breach and mag lips should eliminate feeding issues. I stay away from reloads. Except for some 38 revolver ammo . Spring also could be replaced with wolf spring too . I'm far from a expert. Just things to try that you can do.

    • @@davidderler5924 interesting! I don’t do my own reloading at all but I’d like to very much. But I wasn’t thinking of feed ramps. But now that you said it, the P38/P1 did NOT like when I used hallow points, so I had to buy round nosed tipped round. And for the M9, well the picky ammo for that is, I couldn’t use any other 9mm other than 123 grain. It didn’t like anything lower. Not even 115. It would act like a airsoft spring pistol. Shoot once, chamber a new round manually. That’s how it felt with that. And if you see my first YT Short, you’ll see which Beretta M9 I had. It’s a FSX.

  • For another two spring gun (not WW2 related), look at the Henry AR7 US Survival Rifle. Thanks for sharing. Wait until you do a firing pin/indicator pin field strip of the P38 slide. That dust cover is a pain on the P38. Haha.

    • I didn’t think the AR7 would have two springs. I always find the two spring guns very interesting! Thank you for telling me about it and thanks for the heads up, I’ll look forward to that! haha

    • @@docbrowning Yes I have one. Its a good little rifle as long as you don't damage the feed ramps on the mags. Its weakness is its magazines. Mine runs great and not ammo finicky but other folks have had some mag problems. If you ever do then just get new mags. Also only use Henry factory mags and you should be good. Henry redesigned the mags to make them work from the old AR7 mags. You will find a little keeper wire on them that allows the mags to run reliably.

    • @@rbm6184 sounds like a fun little rifle and good to have. I’ve been keeping my eye on it since they came out but never went for one. I saw one of your vids on it if you shooting it. I liked it! Looks great! Thank you for informing me, makes me want one even more now!

    • @@docbrowning The only problem I have ever had with mine is the plastic butt cap stretches and loosens over time so that it falls off so just put a strip of duct tape around the butt edge to snug the cap up again. Thanks for watching my videos.
