Gealdýr - Ymir ll (Official Lyric Video)

2024 ж. 27 Ақп.
68 600 Рет қаралды

Before the existence of earth and sky, there was only the vast emptiness of Ginnungagap. Here, the cold of Niflheim and the fires of Muspelheim met, their clash melting ice into water. From these drops, Ymir, The Creator of Worlds, was born, marking the beginning of all creation. This tale, expanding on the original Ymir saga I created with @Danheim explores the origins of the universe in Norse mythology.

Original Old Norse lyrics and English translation:
Ár var alda þar er Ýmir bygði
Ór Ymis holdi var jörð of sköpuð
Ór Ymis holdi var jörð of sköpuð
Ór Ymis holdi var jörð of sköpuð,
en ór sveita sær, björg ór beinum,
baðmr ór hári, en ór hausi himinn.
-
Of old was the age when Ymir lived
Out of Ymir's flesh the earth was created
Out of Ymir's flesh the earth was created
Out of Ymir's flesh the Earth was created,
And the ocean out of his blood;
Of his bones the hills, | of his hair the trees,
Of his skull the heavens high.

  • Greetings from Russia! We love your songs here too, thank you for your creativity! Me “before listening”: “What could be there? How can you release a song with the number 2?” Me, " when a new verse has begun": oh. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Keep creating, we'd love to hear from you! P.S. Judging by the annual KZhead statistics, I am in the 5% of your most ardent listeners. Know that you are loved)

  • The definition of art is the bridge that connects imagination with reality. The definition of an artist is one that envisions the bridge so others can see what the artist sees. Your bridge connects me to my imagined past and I thank you for building it.
