Yeah
We’re more solid
Yeah
HOOK - Nas
No comparison we more solid than they are
Me and Hit-Boy they say we like the new Gang Starr
Me and Flacko they say we the new Wave Gods
Shout to Max B he could be home any day God
VERSE - A$AP Rocky
Wake up out the bed scruffy, sparkin’ my J
Shine my nickel plated then I’m startin’ my day
My old lady called me baby told her pardon my age
12 shells in the gauge like a carton of eggs
We goin’ home like Eric Cartman, chromosomes on my conscience
Hear some niggas talkin’ nonsense, call up Nasty Nastradamus
Rock the pearls and diamonds, break your promise break her wallets
Break her heart and break her pockets, taking notes like guidance counselors
Aristocrat like the Chancellor, the answer to the, uh, panhandlers
The corners with the mans’ is up, the jig is up, the scams is up
Yeah they hands is up, lookin’ in the crowd, yeah
Tryin’ to fuck the world but my pants still up
Tryin’ to invest in all my G’s before we rest in peace
‘Cause we sure to rest in peace
The rest is set the record set, as soon as I release
The rumors be I roam the streets with no security
They know a nigga overseas, uhhh
Kinda swag that’s passed from your mom and dad
Prada bags and we cheesin’ on them Calvin ads
Mighta peeped the billboards fifty feet when out in traffic
Staring at a nigga’ picture shit you bound to crash
HOOK - Nas
No comparison we more solid than they are
Me and Hit-Boy they say we like the new Gang Starr
Me and Flacko they say we the new Wave Gods
Shout to Max B he could be home any day God
A$AP Mob got Mass Appeal
Call up Nasty Nas, niggas hit the lick like ah ah ah
VERSE - Nas
Wake up out the bed, wrap my durag up
Say a prayer, I’m thankin’ god that Mom dukes had us
Monotone style like Guru on some Preemo cuts
Crewneck by McQueen go nuts
Jewels over my white hoodie like Juvie in ‘9-8
It’s movies that I make
Peruvian white flake
It tore the community at a high rate
Adversity I faced
I roll my own gas to make sure that it’s not laced
Damn I used to hit the block hopin’ they see me
Watchin’ Video Music Box sittin’ close to the TV
I was inspired by Whodini and Kool G
Got my first pair of J’s thought I was 2-3 (Air)
Invest in all my G’s before we rest in peace
‘Cause we sure to rest in peace
My shorty is a piece, a piece of mind, a dimepiece
I might buy her a piece of property
You might’a had some joints but ain’t nuttin’ like me and Rocky seen

wouldn't call nas old school thought what was in the 80's or before 1996 could be considered old school! i actually think it's wrong how the youngings be throwing that word around meaning something else, when the actual style old school was defined. the big daddy kanes, kool g raps, kool moe dee, mc shan was rapping old school style. Then the rappers like Dmx, master p and styles that came in late 96,97 etc was new school style. it would be ridiculous for us to call the current style new school and define it as such only for 10-20 years from now someone calls it old school. as if there isn't a big difference between todays drill rap, muble rap etc and what t.i. nelly, snoop dogg, ludacris or nas was doing back in early 2000's. and if the early 2000's isn't different from what a tribe called quest was doing in early 90's you feel me.

I already had NaS in my top 3, and have since I started listening to rap, but ever since king’s disease 2 last year I can’t look at him the same. Whenever I play a track I think “damn, this man’s been in the game longer than I’ve been alive, and he’s still topping charts”. Most og’s have either fell off or stopped dropping all together (who haven’t died). Every time NaS drops at least one song is in the discussion for top 5 tracks of his. It’s crazy. Kings disease 2 brought out bangers like rare and death row east, but also a sure to be classic in nobody and a big event in epmd2. He than said “hol up, I ain’t done yet” and dropped magic with hits like speechless and wave gods. Absolute goat

Nas was my favourite MC until I got old enough to realise he never says shit about the NWO

I was skating in Boston a few days ago with some friends, and as we were riding the subway to reach a new skate spot we met someone that really left an imprint on me. He sat in a seat in facing us and instantly started conversation, taking notice to our boards and our clothes. We chopped it up for a bit, and eventually he started telling us about himself, mentioning how he just had a divorce yesterday, and was on his way to get laid tonight. We all laughed together about that, but he told me and my friends about how how he just got here from Harlem and walked 60,000 steps in a day to get to his destination. We started talking about life. He was definitely at a crossroads in his, and I could tell even through his joyful demeanor and smile that he was going through it. We had a pause in conversation after that, and he popped in some earbuds and started bobbing his head. My homie asked what he was bumping, and bro looked up wit a smile and said it was Wave Gods by Nas. We all laughed and talked about how dope the track is. He said that this song is really getting him through the day. He ended up getting off on the next stop, but not before dapping us all up. I told him good luck with everything brother, pleasure meeting you, and he said likewise to me and my friends. Never got his name, but Ima remember you dawg. This song means a lot more to me now.

WOW !!! This is some real deal "Hip Hop" it is so cool to see Nas and A$AP Work together with DJ Premier on something epic like this. I love it.
8.3 million? Deserves way more
That's why we need to run Nas streaming numbers up big flex 💪 it would be there
ASAP Rocky reached his zenith with this one. His style and flow is so unique. Truly goated
Cuz he got his head on straight and ain't full of that woke propaganda bulshit.
@trappey @@MyBrothersKeeper101 name one creative thing that piece of garbage said.. tag trappey for me
@@patrickkavanagh6958 he doesn't blame all his problems and his neighborhoods problems on other people. Stands up and speaks loudly for what's actually wrong. He doesn't speak in search engine results like most of the idiots influencing our young people. Doesn't take on that professional victim mentality like that has been taught for Generations

My and cuzzo said this the other day, we need a project with him produced by premier, no id, hit boy and ye … he do that three times, hes back in the convo with drizzy, cole and kendrick
This song has a great old school vibe.

I'm so glad to see our OG's still rapping. I grew up in NYC in the 90s so it's good to see dude still on top. I'm hoping Nas keeps releasing music into his 70s
Nas escobar : The Defender of Hiphop

Nas’ album Magic will leave you Speechless. Anybody who disagrees should Meet Joe Black. It gets Ugly in that 40-16 Building where there ain’t no Hollywood Gangstas but instead Wu for The Children. From QB to Shaolin, Wave Gods tell The Truth when they’re Dedicated!

I do respect ASAP's observance of Big L and the whole apex of the game (90's), _"Cheesing"_ how many guys his age even know what that means?
