Wait, since when has Triple Deluxe been considered “forgettable?” It’s not talked about _as_ much as the games that sandwich it, but it’s still brought up frequently in conversation about the series, especially in comparison to some other mainline titles. It’s really just because it’s sandwiched between one of the series’ most foundational titles and the best game in the franchise, so it lives in their shadows. But that’s pretty much just relative. Hecc, just look at the Live Taranza Reaction trend that blew up recently.

I honestly remember seeing an ad for it and wanting it so bad (yes, I remember when Triple Deluxe was new) Now I look back at it and say "Actually, it's not that good", I'm sorry to everyone who loves Triple Deluxe, but I will say for all of its flaws, the soundtrack ISN'T one of them 🎵, Cave In The Sky and Spinning Jungle are amazing beats

Triple Deluxe was the second Kirby game I played, right after Robobot, and I couldn’t tell it came before. It hit all the right marks for me still, from the spectacle of Hypernova, the Boss Fights and the finale. Nowadays I prefer Robobot more, but i used to love Triple Deluxe even more. Its unfortunate you haven’t been able to stream recently, i’m dying to hear your thoughts on TOTK

In my opinion TD is not forgettable. The only thing I can say negativity about the game was the missing opportunity of more moves with the gimmick. Triple Deluxe is NOT a bad game, On the contrary is a great game. I loved the levels, music always rocks and actually love how this game is the only Kirby game what mentioned Amazing Mirror (despite Star Allies did it) as well. Triple Deluxe is not my first Kirby game, but I spent a lot of hours there and today I still love it. ❤

My first Kirby game, one of my favourite memories was looking at the full collection of keychains wondering who all those characters were, what were those abilities I was seeing, what were those bosses, who was friend? Who wasn't? But especially, what are those games? I didn't know anything of Kirby, I was a child and I only knew Kirby from the anime, I also loved it, and bought Triple Deluxe only because I recognised Kirby on the boxart, jeez I feel old now, I played ALL of them as of now, and that keychain collection is now just an encyclopedia of characters I know, and it's magical to remember sometimes, Kirby is one of the reasons I'm still alive, due to me suffering from depression some time ago, Kirby remained to cheer me up in those moments, and without this game I probably wouldn't be here, so... I think you all can understand how much this game means to me.

Triple Deluxe is the least notable of the Modern era. There isn't much to talk about. Return to Dreamland is considered to be one of the most important games for returning Kirby to home consoles. Kirby Robobot is considered the pinnacle of Kirby level design by many. Kirby Star Allies is controversial due to prioritizing multiplayer and fanservice over level design. Forgotten Land and beyond are considered a "new era".

I'm glad I'm not the only one hoping for a Kirby And The Amazing Mirror remake No worries, it'll come eventually, and if it doesn't, I'll at least beg for an official Kirby Level Maker so we can remake Amazing Mirror ourselves Edit: I will say the closest we got was Kirby Star Allies Guest Star mode when you play as Dark Meta Knight, but it didn't feel enough like the authentic experience, I'd love it if they remade every "level" or at least put in the whole soundtrack, they put in 2 tracks from Nightmare In Dreamland, so why not

Kirby: Triple Deluxe is my second favorite Kirby game after Kirby: Planet Robobot. I think I have to disagree about it outright lacking a clear identity. It's not that it lacks it, it's that it's approach to a differentiating art style is subtle compared to Planet Robobot. One would have to take a real good look to realize the backgrounds are all designed to look like decorative wallpaper, and honestly, I think it's focus on patterns like that creates for a beautiful aesthetic. But it's not really going to be something people notice on first glance. The first thing they'll notice is they're starting in a grass world as per usual.

I've been playing it alongside the Return To Dreamland re-release recently and I have to say I really love how the game uses the camera so dynamically. Especially in bosses. My favorite use of the Kirby super succ is eating those Eels after they terrorize you throughout the level and their expressions of fear.

I personally love this game to death. In fact, I think it’s much better than Robobot! (Which is still good, of course.) I have an almost complete save file, just like Forgotten Land and RTDLDX. (94%) The gimmick I feel is very good, just like the Super Abilities and Mouthful Modes. They take existing abilities Kirby has, but instead of making them just stronger versions of normal attacks, make them fun to use and very cool. Hypernova is very fun and is used very well in the game.

Having played Kirby since Return to Dreamland, and all main titles that followed in order, i love triple deluxe like most others (star allies is cool but it's the lowest on my list for some reason). I would say they didn't play enough on the sky island aesthetic in levels. When you're on an island, you mostly see land, and there aren't many levels that play on that (i think i remember some though).

Imo, it is an improved game from Adventure Wii in most ways. One can't even say that the story of that game was particularly crazy compared to TD because despite there being more of it, most of it is simply Magolor saying "Cool, you did it, we are closer to the goal" on repeat. Of course, the comparison seems a bit weird these days because RtDLDX came out and not only erased most of the jank originally present, but also added more content to the point where not only some evolutions of TD(Like being the first to give every boss flavortext) are invisible, but TD also looks like a step back in comparison. I'm just waiting for Triple Deluxe Ultra to release and hopefully blow me away. There's so much they could do here...though please Hal, do NOT add 120 annoying achivements to whatever silly side mode you want to push.

It is kind of the modern mainline Kirby game that received the least attention on the internet, simply because of its existence. It neither particulary stands out from a quick glance, unlike Robobot, isnt a console title, like Star Allies or Return to Dreamland, and neither has this grand adventure as well. It is a perfectly fine game but it just sometimes slips through attention. So you could say it weirdly ends up being forgettable sometimes, which is a shame.

Triple Deluxe is quite strangely my favorite Kirby game, despite is being just... good. It may be a really solid title without much flaws, but it's just a good Kirby game. It isn't much more than that - it doesn't have anything outstanding or noticeable deficits. As you said, it doesn't really have a strong visual identity. To most, it's just "yeah, it's good". But I suppose the reason I like it the most is the bosses. You mention that the bosses are the highlights of the game, and I very much agree - I would even argue that it has the best boss lineup in the entire series. (okay except pyribbit what a sleepfest of a boss my gosh) [MINOR MERRY MAGOLAND SPOILERS BELOW THIS] Kinda glad that it's sorta getting attention with all the "HAL likes to remind you that Sectonia is dead" memes with the [Old Friend] mask - I'll happily accept any attention TDX gets. also taranza is my favorite kirby character i love the funny spider boi

triple deluxe was the first modern Kirby game I ever played after becoming a fan of the franchise thanks to 3D Kirby’s adventure and Dream Land 2, I like the game but I feel like it has too many gimmicks so the levels feel quite scatterbrained. I think Return to dreamland, robobot and forgotten land are much better overall.

IMO, it's not forgettable, but it's definitely overrated Hypernova sucks The level designs in worlds get pretty boring after a while The puzzles are just ok The story ie heartbreaking but the way the story affects the world itself compared to other titles is a nothing burger, I would not have guessed that a beanstalk held up a bunch of pieces of land The mini games are eh The final world felt like a chore Those flower people are v e r y forgettable This is just my opinion; I personally don't think it's a bad game, it's just very. Meh it's pretty nothing compared to the other titles, but it can still be enjoyable

I can remember buying this game at Smyths when it came out, almost exactly 10 years ago from today. I think I played through all of it over a single weekend, I loved it so much. It wasnt a bad game, it just released after Return to Dreamland, which made modern Kirby what it is, and before Robobot, which is one of the most beloved games in the franchise for many. Controversial opinion: I dont think Robobot was that much better than Triple Deluxe, theyre both pretty great games, and both worth checking out.

IGN hates this game. A 6/10 isn’t bad, but they said any player over the age of 12 would not like it. I don’t get it, they gave Return to Dreamland a better score. They also gave Forgotten Land an 8/10 which is also a great score, but if you’re looking at the mentality where anything under 7 is bad, that is not great. So idk, I guess they just don’t like the pink puff.

I dont think it is forgetabble not only is it my first kirby game but it just is so like distinctive especially the music one thing i noticed is there is alot more electronic and orchestral in it it almost always combines those different aspects but it also features some gamalean and world music influences and of course some of the gimmicks are also pretty unique the experimentation with the 3d and foreground and background were such a cool idea but i also love the levels they all have such a unique idenity instead of like various grasslands or sky levels they all have a really colorful feel and some of the levels i still are just so distinctive like old odyessy lolipop land and my favorite royal road

I’d say that Kirby Battle Royale is more forgettable than Triple Deluxe. I love Triple Deluxe, however I do prefer Planet Robobot (I don’t exactly know why). All Kirby games have amazing soundtracks, so there’s no debating about that.

Well I have a lot to say on triple deluxe, while I thinj it did a lot right as the follow up of return, from his incredible copy ability line up, the great presentation to a 3DS game, creating the kirby model that have been used from this point foward and the usually solid hypernova puzzle there 3 main things that hold the game back for me, the pacing feel a bit weird at times, when the hypernova puzzles are just watching kirby inhale is get old very fast, and my main gripe is the boss line up I say is personally not one just a pretty disapponiting boss line up compare to return's amazing boss lne up but also one of kirby's weakest boss line ups in the franchise, they look cool and have veraity sure but they stay in the backround too much and basically feel sometimes you fight metal general that only using his back layer rocket attack, all I need to say is pyribbit and I can see many kirby fans feeling bad, the only bosses I care are sectonia, dark meta knight and masked dedede the other are can be such a chore to get through not just pyribbit they all have those long and very predictable backround attack which take forever, like don't get me wrong do i recommend triple deluxe yes but I say robobot is the better deal on the 3DS and I can reccomend other kirby titles before it like return to dreamland and deluxe, robobot, super star ultra, star allies, amazing mirror, and especially forgotten before this one is pretty much what I consider an overrated kirby game besides the original super star

Ngl I think this game has my favorite set of bosses of any of the “modern” (KRTD, KTD, KPR,KSA and KFL) titles. I mean sure there’s Pyribbit…… enough said and although I don’t exactly dislike Paintra, the fight is just too slow, even if unique. But then on the other hand you have Flowery Woods, which is my favorite Woods fight to date, and Kracko which is such a fun and unique use of fore- and background elements. These bosses are just all around fun, have a crazy amount attacks (like seriously the second-phase can go on for minutes before there’s a loop) and are really unique…. Then there’s Pyribbit… we don’t talk about Pyribbit…

It suprises me to hear that it's not as memorable. It's one of the few time if not the only time were you have an extra mode that you play as dedede. The only game were you suck up the hp bar literally (which i still found a lot more fun to see than a big sword slicing through the boss). Distinct mini games too though i will say that a lot of important lore really does come at the end which admittedly was a lot of wait to get to that point. One last thing in my group we sometimes talk about it too cause for us it is one of the more memorable ones (at least in our opinion).

Played through all of the 2D Kirby games in March this year (almost) in order and really enjoyed TD and I believe it to be better than RtDL. It just has very strong level design throught and honestly has the best bosses in the series (except that frog mf obviously) Also I like hypernova fight me

I played Triple Deluxe after Planet Robobot with only a few months in between and that made it even more underwhelming to me. Don't get me wrong, the game was great. It was nearly as good as PR and it had a lot of unique things, I just preferred PR and I don't think either were as good as RTDL.

Triple Deluxe was the game that REEEEALLY sucked me in the series. I know the game from memory and it's definitely up there with my favs. It has its flaws, mainly hypernova being a little bit slow, but that aside, it's peak.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe - The Kirby Star Allies before Star Allies were a thing. The truth is that if there is a Kirby game that can be summed up as "More of the Same" in Modern Kirby, it is Kirby: Triple Deluxe. You can say what you want about Star Allies, but that game brought back the Helpers and delivered the Dream Friends. Kirby: Triple Deluxe is just Return to Dreamland without the charm or freshness that made it unique.

Except it has good leveldesign, a decent story despite of how little there is of it, a relatively standard postgame experience(Which is better than what SA has, lol), Dedede's Drum Dash and while the Super Succ is rather shallow, it is still much more involved than the simple "hit it, lol"-sections of RtDL or most of the friendpower-sections in SA.

Really? I think Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot are pretty much on par with their memorability. Yes, I'll admit, I like Robobot a little better and think it's an improvement in almost all areas. But TD is far from forgettable! Without it, we wouldn't have one of the best Kirby games and queen Sectonia is a pretty well written villain.

Wait, since when has Triple Deluxe been considered “forgettable?” It’s not talked about _as_ much as the games that sandwich it, but it’s still brought up frequently in conversation about the series, especially in comparison to some other mainline titles. It’s really just because it’s sandwiched between one of the series’ most foundational titles and the best game in the franchise, so it lives in their shadows. But that’s pretty much just relative. Hecc, just look at the Live Taranza Reaction trend that blew up recently.
I don’t think triple deluxe was ever really forgettable, it’s just the middle child, being between the return to form home console Kirby game and the high scale stand out aesthetic game

I honestly remember seeing an ad for it and wanting it so bad (yes, I remember when Triple Deluxe was new) Now I look back at it and say "Actually, it's not that good", I'm sorry to everyone who loves Triple Deluxe, but I will say for all of its flaws, the soundtrack ISN'T one of them 🎵, Cave In The Sky and Spinning Jungle are amazing beats

Triple Deluxe was the second Kirby game I played, right after Robobot, and I couldn’t tell it came before. It hit all the right marks for me still, from the spectacle of Hypernova, the Boss Fights and the finale. Nowadays I prefer Robobot more, but i used to love Triple Deluxe even more. Its unfortunate you haven’t been able to stream recently, i’m dying to hear your thoughts on TOTK
In my opinion TD is not forgettable. The only thing I can say negativity about the game was the missing opportunity of more moves with the gimmick. Triple Deluxe is NOT a bad game, On the contrary is a great game. I loved the levels, music always rocks and actually love how this game is the only Kirby game what mentioned Amazing Mirror (despite Star Allies did it) as well. Triple Deluxe is not my first Kirby game, but I spent a lot of hours there and today I still love it. ❤
My first Kirby game, one of my favourite memories was looking at the full collection of keychains wondering who all those characters were, what were those abilities I was seeing, what were those bosses, who was friend? Who wasn't? But especially, what are those games? I didn't know anything of Kirby, I was a child and I only knew Kirby from the anime, I also loved it, and bought Triple Deluxe only because I recognised Kirby on the boxart, jeez I feel old now, I played ALL of them as of now, and that keychain collection is now just an encyclopedia of characters I know, and it's magical to remember sometimes, Kirby is one of the reasons I'm still alive, due to me suffering from depression some time ago, Kirby remained to cheer me up in those moments, and without this game I probably wouldn't be here, so... I think you all can understand how much this game means to me.

Triple Deluxe is the least notable of the Modern era. There isn't much to talk about. Return to Dreamland is considered to be one of the most important games for returning Kirby to home consoles. Kirby Robobot is considered the pinnacle of Kirby level design by many. Kirby Star Allies is controversial due to prioritizing multiplayer and fanservice over level design. Forgotten Land and beyond are considered a "new era".
While I do like Planet Robobot more, Triple Deluxe was one of my most played games on the 3DS by far back in the day. It holds a very special place in my heart, and always will
I'm glad I'm not the only one hoping for a Kirby And The Amazing Mirror remake No worries, it'll come eventually, and if it doesn't, I'll at least beg for an official Kirby Level Maker so we can remake Amazing Mirror ourselves Edit: I will say the closest we got was Kirby Star Allies Guest Star mode when you play as Dark Meta Knight, but it didn't feel enough like the authentic experience, I'd love it if they remade every "level" or at least put in the whole soundtrack, they put in 2 tracks from Nightmare In Dreamland, so why not

I mean Kirby Triple Deluxe was pretty good because you got new copy abilities, new bosses, the levels, and the music but it would be cool seeing Kirby Triple Deluxe getting a Deluxe version of it and also adding a new mode for Taranza just like in Magolor Epilogue where Taranaza tries to find his one true love Queen Sectonia again so that they can be together again now that would be cool to see

Kirby: Triple Deluxe is my second favorite Kirby game after Kirby: Planet Robobot. I think I have to disagree about it outright lacking a clear identity. It's not that it lacks it, it's that it's approach to a differentiating art style is subtle compared to Planet Robobot. One would have to take a real good look to realize the backgrounds are all designed to look like decorative wallpaper, and honestly, I think it's focus on patterns like that creates for a beautiful aesthetic. But it's not really going to be something people notice on first glance. The first thing they'll notice is they're starting in a grass world as per usual.
I forgot every level when I replayed Robobot but when I went back to Triple Deluxe I remembered every single part of it

I've been playing it alongside the Return To Dreamland re-release recently and I have to say I really love how the game uses the camera so dynamically. Especially in bosses. My favorite use of the Kirby super succ is eating those Eels after they terrorize you throughout the level and their expressions of fear.

I personally love this game to death. In fact, I think it’s much better than Robobot! (Which is still good, of course.) I have an almost complete save file, just like Forgotten Land and RTDLDX. (94%) The gimmick I feel is very good, just like the Super Abilities and Mouthful Modes. They take existing abilities Kirby has, but instead of making them just stronger versions of normal attacks, make them fun to use and very cool. Hypernova is very fun and is used very well in the game.

This is literally my favorite Kirby game of all time. Still holds up to this day. I have a 98% save file on this game, the 2% due to the keychains which are still the best collectible in a Kirby game. Fight me *draws sword*
Having played Kirby since Return to Dreamland, and all main titles that followed in order, i love triple deluxe like most others (star allies is cool but it's the lowest on my list for some reason). I would say they didn't play enough on the sky island aesthetic in levels. When you're on an island, you mostly see land, and there aren't many levels that play on that (i think i remember some though).

Imo, it is an improved game from Adventure Wii in most ways. One can't even say that the story of that game was particularly crazy compared to TD because despite there being more of it, most of it is simply Magolor saying "Cool, you did it, we are closer to the goal" on repeat. Of course, the comparison seems a bit weird these days because RtDLDX came out and not only erased most of the jank originally present, but also added more content to the point where not only some evolutions of TD(Like being the first to give every boss flavortext) are invisible, but TD also looks like a step back in comparison. I'm just waiting for Triple Deluxe Ultra to release and hopefully blow me away. There's so much they could do here...though please Hal, do NOT add 120 annoying achivements to whatever silly side mode you want to push.

It is kind of the modern mainline Kirby game that received the least attention on the internet, simply because of its existence. It neither particulary stands out from a quick glance, unlike Robobot, isnt a console title, like Star Allies or Return to Dreamland, and neither has this grand adventure as well. It is a perfectly fine game but it just sometimes slips through attention. So you could say it weirdly ends up being forgettable sometimes, which is a shame.
triple deluxe is still a top 5 nintendo game for me it got me into playing more nintendo games

Triple Deluxe is quite strangely my favorite Kirby game, despite is being just... good. It may be a really solid title without much flaws, but it's just a good Kirby game. It isn't much more than that - it doesn't have anything outstanding or noticeable deficits. As you said, it doesn't really have a strong visual identity. To most, it's just "yeah, it's good". But I suppose the reason I like it the most is the bosses. You mention that the bosses are the highlights of the game, and I very much agree - I would even argue that it has the best boss lineup in the entire series. (okay except pyribbit what a sleepfest of a boss my gosh) [MINOR MERRY MAGOLAND SPOILERS BELOW THIS] Kinda glad that it's sorta getting attention with all the "HAL likes to remind you that Sectonia is dead" memes with the [Old Friend] mask - I'll happily accept any attention TDX gets. also taranza is my favorite kirby character i love the funny spider boi

triple deluxe was the first modern Kirby game I ever played after becoming a fan of the franchise thanks to 3D Kirby’s adventure and Dream Land 2, I like the game but I feel like it has too many gimmicks so the levels feel quite scatterbrained. I think Return to dreamland, robobot and forgotten land are much better overall.
IMO, it's not forgettable, but it's definitely overrated Hypernova sucks The level designs in worlds get pretty boring after a while The puzzles are just ok The story ie heartbreaking but the way the story affects the world itself compared to other titles is a nothing burger, I would not have guessed that a beanstalk held up a bunch of pieces of land The mini games are eh The final world felt like a chore Those flower people are v e r y forgettable This is just my opinion; I personally don't think it's a bad game, it's just very. Meh it's pretty nothing compared to the other titles, but it can still be enjoyable

I can remember buying this game at Smyths when it came out, almost exactly 10 years ago from today. I think I played through all of it over a single weekend, I loved it so much. It wasnt a bad game, it just released after Return to Dreamland, which made modern Kirby what it is, and before Robobot, which is one of the most beloved games in the franchise for many. Controversial opinion: I dont think Robobot was that much better than Triple Deluxe, theyre both pretty great games, and both worth checking out.
Triple Deluxe is in my top 5 favorite Kirby games. It really is fun to play next to Robobot.

IGN hates this game. A 6/10 isn’t bad, but they said any player over the age of 12 would not like it. I don’t get it, they gave Return to Dreamland a better score. They also gave Forgotten Land an 8/10 which is also a great score, but if you’re looking at the mentality where anything under 7 is bad, that is not great. So idk, I guess they just don’t like the pink puff.

I dont think it is forgetabble not only is it my first kirby game but it just is so like distinctive especially the music one thing i noticed is there is alot more electronic and orchestral in it it almost always combines those different aspects but it also features some gamalean and world music influences and of course some of the gimmicks are also pretty unique the experimentation with the 3d and foreground and background were such a cool idea but i also love the levels they all have such a unique idenity instead of like various grasslands or sky levels they all have a really colorful feel and some of the levels i still are just so distinctive like old odyessy lolipop land and my favorite royal road

It doesn’t add up! This game was the first Kirby game that I played and it was insane! This game is very fun and the way the hypernova puzzles are handled is insane! The bosses are fun and creative and the final boss is crazy it’s like a very pretty but scary at the same time! Me and my friends still talk about the boss and how scary it was
Lmao what Has deadass some of the most vivid visuals in the entire series, why do uninformed people pretend it's a forgettable game just because Robobot released later? I remember the worlds and visuals far more than RTDL's (which only gets interesting from World 5 onwards)

I’d say that Kirby Battle Royale is more forgettable than Triple Deluxe. I love Triple Deluxe, however I do prefer Planet Robobot (I don’t exactly know why). All Kirby games have amazing soundtracks, so there’s no debating about that.

Well I have a lot to say on triple deluxe, while I thinj it did a lot right as the follow up of return, from his incredible copy ability line up, the great presentation to a 3DS game, creating the kirby model that have been used from this point foward and the usually solid hypernova puzzle there 3 main things that hold the game back for me, the pacing feel a bit weird at times, when the hypernova puzzles are just watching kirby inhale is get old very fast, and my main gripe is the boss line up I say is personally not one just a pretty disapponiting boss line up compare to return's amazing boss lne up but also one of kirby's weakest boss line ups in the franchise, they look cool and have veraity sure but they stay in the backround too much and basically feel sometimes you fight metal general that only using his back layer rocket attack, all I need to say is pyribbit and I can see many kirby fans feeling bad, the only bosses I care are sectonia, dark meta knight and masked dedede the other are can be such a chore to get through not just pyribbit they all have those long and very predictable backround attack which take forever, like don't get me wrong do i recommend triple deluxe yes but I say robobot is the better deal on the 3DS and I can reccomend other kirby titles before it like return to dreamland and deluxe, robobot, super star ultra, star allies, amazing mirror, and especially forgotten before this one is pretty much what I consider an overrated kirby game besides the original super star
Ngl I think this game has my favorite set of bosses of any of the “modern” (KRTD, KTD, KPR,KSA and KFL) titles. I mean sure there’s Pyribbit…… enough said and although I don’t exactly dislike Paintra, the fight is just too slow, even if unique. But then on the other hand you have Flowery Woods, which is my favorite Woods fight to date, and Kracko which is such a fun and unique use of fore- and background elements. These bosses are just all around fun, have a crazy amount attacks (like seriously the second-phase can go on for minutes before there’s a loop) and are really unique…. Then there’s Pyribbit… we don’t talk about Pyribbit…
Triple Deluxe brought me to the kirby series so it's always special to me. However I still like Robobot more and I feel a bit sorry for Triple Deluxe.

It suprises me to hear that it's not as memorable. It's one of the few time if not the only time were you have an extra mode that you play as dedede. The only game were you suck up the hp bar literally (which i still found a lot more fun to see than a big sword slicing through the boss). Distinct mini games too though i will say that a lot of important lore really does come at the end which admittedly was a lot of wait to get to that point. One last thing in my group we sometimes talk about it too cause for us it is one of the more memorable ones (at least in our opinion).

Played through all of the 2D Kirby games in March this year (almost) in order and really enjoyed TD and I believe it to be better than RtDL. It just has very strong level design throught and honestly has the best bosses in the series (except that frog mf obviously) Also I like hypernova fight me
Personally prefer triple deluxe way more than Return to Dreamland, even when I played that game as a teenager I thought it was pretty plain and I still feel that way when I replayed it on the switch this year. Triple Deluxe has way more interesting level design imo
Been replaying this game recently, and id have to say its because of its frankly awful first world. If you dont have good first impressions you dont have good impressions. Even though i consider Old odyssey still the greatest world in all of kirby
Huh… I've never seen anyone call it forgettable before. Though I guess if anyone really considers it that way, maybe it's simply because both its predecessor and successor have done the concepts it presents better in most aspects.
I think the release of Planet Robobot is to blame here. Not because I think it's a bad game or anything, far from it. But it did cause people to forget about Triple Deluxe's existence.
I played Triple Deluxe after Planet Robobot with only a few months in between and that made it even more underwhelming to me. Don't get me wrong, the game was great. It was nearly as good as PR and it had a lot of unique things, I just preferred PR and I don't think either were as good as RTDL.

I don't think it's forgettable because HAL loves reminding us (and Taranza) that Sectonia is dead and he may or may not gotten friendzoned or he watched his crush/love die in front if him Either one hurts a lot so HAL is just some sick bastards (tho tbf they do the same with Susie's papa but she gets to do more)
It's hilarious how they keep pointing out that Sectonia is 100% absolutely fucking deader than dead but despite Marx being quite literally torn in half while screaming bloody murder and being *atomized* Marx comes back from the dead like "I got better"

Triple Deluxe was the game that REEEEALLY sucked me in the series. I know the game from memory and it's definitely up there with my favs. It has its flaws, mainly hypernova being a little bit slow, but that aside, it's peak.
