I am 45 years old and I don’t know any word about Dutch language. I have started to learn this morning. I will comment every month about my progress. Wish me luck 😊
Keep learning no excuses you could have here fluent by jow
When i try to say anything with a g in it it sounds like im trying to ridicule a person 😂😂.
+Lukas Dunaway I'm Dutch myself and even for me the g just destroy's my throat.
+Therockbrothersmc It's 1/2 reasons I've taken a break from the language. Other is I take Spanish in school and don't want to be distracted by one that isn't for a grade. I'd probably take up my time learning Dutch if I could pronounce atleast some of the words right.
Lukas Dunaway Well their are a lot of different ways you can talk Dutch, for a small country it really has a lot of accents. Some of them pronounce the g like 'geh' or 'guh'. Oh and you don't have to worry about pronouncing everything right, because there is almost no one who speaks Dutch perfectly xD. But as you said, learning Spanish is more important if it's for a grade. At the moment I'm learning German, just for the sake of it xD.
+Therockbrothersmc Totally agree! You will be easily forgiven if you make a mistake. The Dutch will respect you for trying Dutch so don't worry about too much about not wanting to make any mistakes.
Learn Dutch with DutchPod101.com u forgot goedemiddag!
Omg the "G" tho!
+The girl and the planet It is much more easy in the Belgian equivalent. Watch /watch?v=Mn_FFcXEKL4&nohtml5=False 1:23. (Note: The singer is not using standard Dutch but is using a soft Antwerp dialect and the lyrics are written in that dialect as well. His 'g' is standard Belgian pronunciation though.)
The “g” sounds like the Arabic خ to me
haa
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ik hou van de Nederlandse taal
"It's easy, isn't it?" No, no it's not, but you are very charming.

This teacher's voice is like my ex-classmate when I was in senior high school. 😀
It's so confusing because your accent and pronunciation (OMG that '"g") are so different from the ones in Belgium (Dutch speaking part). I'm Belgian (but French speaker) and I'm "used" to the Flanders accent, still going to try to hold on because you're concise and that's great !
You just make me like Dutch now
I am from Indonesia and I need a partner to help me encourage when learning Dutch

Marleen: welcome to Dutch part 1 KZhead subtitles: welcome to Dutch pot 101 Stereotypes have invaded Google’s AI 🤷🏻♂️
yay I knew all these greetings cause they so simular to afrikaans
I find the goodbye-phrase "Dag" to a bit format compared to "Doei", because I thought it was short for "Goedendag" which is definitely more formal :-) I never use it with people I already know well.
Hoi roelesch, I also think that 'dag' is more formal than informal. Guess you can use it informal as well as formal.
Hello, What does it mean boide in dutch? 😊

I looked at a lot of sites and other sources of Dutch and I'm beginning to think it's a hybrid language of german and English which I both speak
Well, kind of. The reason you might be seeing a connections between German, English, and Dutch is that they are all Germanic languages. Other Germanic languages include: Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Icelandic, and Faroese.
Yes, German, Dutch and English are all Germanic languages. But Dutch, like English, has also been impacted by Romance languages (mainly by French and Latin). Mostly, Dutch receiving a lot of "loan" words from French, just as did English. German, on the other hand, had very little such impact. Consequently, if you put these three Germanic languages on a spectrum, German would be at one end and English on the other end. Dutch would fall in between German and English, but closer to German. But Dutch is closer to English than German is due to the Romance language influence that both Dutch and English experienced that German did not experience.
MrVidaeverdade as a native german speaker and french speaker, I would say german has experienced alot, and i mean a lot, of romantic loan words, maybe not as much, but still a lot
