i cant believe you did tidore lol. I always choose them when i do a spice playthru. I literally just did this just the other week. Colonized everything as a pirate tidore and i went at it alone as a full pirate republic. Nice video broski!!!

I loved campaings as tidore or ternate, however i was always pissed when during colonization these provinces didnt give me cloves as trade goods😂

This is good for a part 2, go for the new world move the capital to new world and then culture switch to Mayan. Then move to Europe for sunset invasion get high American unit. Then tag switch to Prussia. Move the capital back to the new world make the White House province as the new world capital. Op Prussian without gov cap issue. Build 6 heavies and like 12 galley and 10 transport is good template for easy win.

For trade focus scenarios you could check out my Arabia and Russia videos, I talk about trade, trade companies, pick such ideas there. I think I can try to explain my choices for idea groups and what ideas I would pick later a bit more indepth in future videos

in base EU4 the graphics dont look bad until you try the color mod; it's SO much better! was playing after a patch and it got turned off and I immediately noticed the difference

One province? Yes. Challenging? No. With cloves you have an unlimited money printer to build unlimited ships= you literally can't lose because your enemy can't get to your provinces.

I think you can try different resolutions in the game settings, could help. I'm playing on a small screen which might make the UI appear larger than usual.
I have over 3000 hours in EU4 and never used trading posts mechanic :/
