    @benlewis5312@benlewis5312 Жыл бұрын
    • @Cory Maxwell Which aljo can do for 5 RDS, so cejudo going to be chasing him and getting picked apart from range, I am sure cejudo shorter than Yan 🤣🤣 only way is for him to grapple and if he isn't smart with that he may get wrapped up in something he really can't get out off so this fight is closer than people think and he hasn't fought in years either and has aged sterling young and very active makes a big difference in a fight, fight will be much closer than people think

      @JM-bx2vg@JM-bx2vg Жыл бұрын
    • Aljo doesn't go for takedowns like that he uses jiu-jitsu not wrestling, remember jiu-jitsu can be used anywhere doesn't need to involve a takedown, he gets on cejudo back he is going to have all kinds of issues getting him off aljo is much longer than him and anyone who has fought taller people who use jiu-jitsu will tell you it's much harder to deal with since their long limbs make holds easier to do and tighter So those stats you stated is irrelevant, aljo doesn't need to take cejudo down to use jiu-jitsu, hell if you look at most jiu-jitsu users their takedowns are probably low percentage as well still irrelevant as they get subs and end fights.

      @iamjp1@iamjp1 Жыл бұрын
    • @@JM-bx2vg Clearly haven't seen Henry fight before lol. He picked apart a guy even bigger than Aljo from range Dominick Cruz. You're right though the key factor is the layoff, it'll be interesting to see whether it effects him or not.

      @kevindurantburner3592@kevindurantburner3592 Жыл бұрын
    • @@kevindurantburner3592 Dominic Cruz isn't a range fighter, Cruz moves alot it isn't the same as sterling who is a range establisher who also moves around alot, that's what Cruz wasn't doing if you could cut of his movements he is a sitting duck, even as a sitting duck sterling still pick you apart from range since he only needs to move slightly out of range to keep you at his, would be easier with cejudo since he is shorter. Cejudo realistically gonna use leg kicks as that is the best weapon to combat that and it's what he used on Cruz he didn't cut him off with his hands just leg kicks, but sterling won't move as much just like the Yan fight when he pretty much stayed in his face but kept him at his range, makes it easier for him to block leg kicks as that requires you to be somewhat still which is why Cruz can almost never block them since he the opposite. Sterling will also counter cejudo leg kicks with clean strikes since cejudo will still have to get into range to land them, sterling probably taller than Cruz so cejudo will have to leave himself more open to counters just to land leg kicks, gives sterling all kinds of counter opportunities where he can hurt cejudo and make him think twice about throwing leg kicks. There is a reason Yan stopped throwing leg kicks to slow him down after a while, they was either blocked, he was countered when he threw them (sterling has heavy hands so you don't want to eat too many strikes from him) or he would catch them and use it to try and take his back, here is where cejudo will have better luck since his wrestling high level and he can do much better job fighting sterling jiu-jitsu than Yan. But I feel sterling respects his grappling and will aim to piece him up on the feet where he is stronger and has the power advantage and range advantage too

  • absolutely enjoyed this 100%. refreshing to see something different. sit down discussions with 2 fighters who are set to fight or trying to fight each other. gets the interest even higher for the fight so the fighters have something to gain from it. all around great idea DC! more content like this!

    • Mixed respect for his rematch with DJ. MMA community seems like 70/30 on thinking DJ won that fight. Also most of Cejudo's fights haven't been very exciting. But overall, Flyweights historically haven't gotten much attention with the exception of DJ, Figueredo, and Moreno because of their epic performances.

    • MMA statistic professor drawing conclusions based no real statistics…or science. You’d be more informed if you’d listen to DJ and his assessments of their fight. Better yet, Cejudo and DJs conversations. I think you’ll find your stated percentages don’t mean squat. DJ is an all time great and lost a relatively close fight to Cejudo.
