This is so true. I remember when I first showed my daughter The Fox and the Hound. She's very smart but she's only 6, so I wasn't sure she'd get what was happening when the Widow had to give up Tod. Sure enough, I look over and she's bawling because she doesn't want Tod to have to leave. Kids are amazing and pure and should always be cherished.

If he had not told his parents he was unbuckling his seat belt his parents could start moving the car and then realize he didn't have his seat belt on and be distracted enough that they get into an accident. That's actually a much more common occurrence than it would be if most kids were taught to say when they are taking off their seat belts.

Edit: Happy to report - He went to another concert, got a chance to meet BTR and hang out a little. He also got on stage during their performance.

If he had not told his parents he was unbuckling his seat belt his parents could start moving the car and then realize he didn't have his seat belt on and be distracted enough that they get into an accident. That's actually a much more common occurrence than it would be if most kids were taught to say when they are taking off their seat belts.
