I kayaked upon a group of River otters in the fall. There had no recent people and they were relaxed. It seemed like they put on a show for me. Made that trip memorable.

This reminds me of a chapter in a book of one of my favorite Dutch authors. In that he tells stories from his youth before WWII. He was rafting with friends in the waterways near his town of Leyden and they were CHASED away by an angry otter. It baffled me because otters have disappeared for decades in that area and when they excist in the countryside they are shy, nocturnal and avoid people.

Reminds me of teaching my 5 year old daughter to swim. Started her with itsy-bitsy swimming goggles and she turned into a fish. Once she could see below her, she figured out the rest really fast.

Bee bee ramone dan Stevens is saying that the series is demonic because it’s based off of some stupid idea from a long time ago when really it’s nothing like that. There isn’t a single murder from the good side and almost every series has murder from the bad side. Besides most people convicted of witchcraft weren’t even “witches” so technically the witch hunters were murdering innocent people too.

I have always enjoyed otters. For years we had a nice kelp forest by my house. It supported a whole group of sea otters. The kelp disappeared, the otters disappeared. I enjoyed watching them, miss them now.
