Now, some build notes:
Regarding the use of acetone, it's not the most dangerous chemical in the world (it's used in nail varnish remover for example) but it's always a good idea to wear suitable gloves when handling it and be in a well ventilated environment during its use so you don't breathe in the fumes. It's also worth noting that the vapours themselves are very flamable, so keep sparks and open flames well away from your work area during use. Again, this is why it's important to be in a well ventilated environment.

@@Frosty-ky7ci good luck building such an elegant design with better temps lol P.S. 85 degrees is fine, 95+ is where you need to worry
Ivan Timov are you alright? His gpu was at 81 on a pretty heavy load for a while... plus the fan curve was verrry low to try and keep it as quiet as possible, I guarantee you that if he had put all the noctua fans to max rpm it wouldve easily been below 70 on the gpu
@@Aneeqt For sure but i reckon those fans would be absolutely screaming, and either way, 81 is still pretty hot, considering i've got a very similar setup in a full size case my temps rarely go above 60-70 celsius on either cpu or gpu at full load reaching i think 80 degrees once on a 45 degree day in Sydney. but yeah, for what it is, incredible
sneekydart yeah exactly, in a full case with ample ventilation and actual coolers on the card and cpu you’d obviously get much better temps but that’s not what the desk is about which I don’t think Ivan understood.
tip: using acetone does dissolve and dilute a lot of the surface gunk but still leaves a monolayer of hydrocarbons, best would be to use a detergent like ajax and then applying the epoxy asap. This will drastically improve surface bonding

The thermals are really not great The hardware is designed to thermal throttle the performance around 80-85 C, and this table was right at that temperature. People would buy these and wonder why they aren't getting the performance they should
@@Stuugie. Those temps at that load isnt terrible. By no means great, but not terrible at the same time. You could probably get away with soft line, or even hard line watercooling in this desk though.
@@koleethan Water cooling is probably the only way to go as even two years ago this wasn't enthusiast hardware. With how thin this table is, I don't think you could mount rads and fans without making holes straight through since airflow has to go through the fins. So glad to find a tutorial that I can work off of, and draw ideas from. I was thinking of using a standard sized power supply, given my proclivity for gaming, and figured that what I could probably do is create a side cabinet on the desk to house it. A secondary, fun idea I was toying with was extending the power button to the siding, where a small hole would be placed for it to set in, along with a button covering with the power symbol etched into it to maintain the wooden appearance, possibly to do something similar with a disk drive and USB ports with little sliding covers.

Lol, im still with my 2012 dell laptop.
Get a better desk
I'm pretty sure that my washing machine has better specs than my PC
DIY Perks : "Noctua, i need 40 fans for a projects" Noctua : "Yes honey"
Not 10, not 20... Me: 30? Matt: 40! Me: *surprised Pikachu face*
I bet he didn't pay for it.
@@triadwarfare yeah becouse it would cost maybe the same as the rest components :D but does it really matter ? how many youtubers are paying for this ? vendor make it for ad there you can see 40 noctua fans, but then check linus store server project :D and from seagate - hey, 100x 14TBs ? no problem bro :D or intel optane SSDs ... its fun to watch it and dream to have at least 4 of them into home NAS :D
They needed to get rid of some old brown shame anyway :D
Noctua simping for diy perks again
All Your works are Splendid, Admirable, Lovely
This is now my fav channel
When he said invisible, I thought he meant INVISIBLE.
I thought it was going to be a joke video where he just mimes building a computer in the air
Lmao yes
Drax's PC 😎👌
@@Zamarae Same 😂
Yes, I feel so cheated!
I was expecting the solution for the monitor to be a projection (which is still rly fine in aesthetic). Very cool build!
I expected a projector too maybe a tv
a tv is basicly a monitor
Or like in 3% on netflix
Love how y'all say "aluminum" ;) You can also make a table with an aluminum inlay, inset over the processor (CPU) as a hot plate for keeping your coup-a-tea warm. Preferred the shorts at 4:16, nice legs, on the table too. You could just superglue a laptop under and existing table, effectively invisible unless thief if crawling.
Amazing, it is the most beautiful project I have seen.
"Guys rate my setup." *shows a table*
10/10.
Perfect
Taking "It's not much." too literally
11/10
I was gonna use the thumbnail for this video to do that lol!
So much additional space! I could see a "drawer" with all the storage (HDD, SSD) built in being great for people who film videos in slow mo or at high resolutions, as it allows easy access for expansion and removal, and a second graphics card could also be added, as well as a second mini-pc for running a server (or, as i've heard some youtubers use it for, for uploading a video while using their main PC), the desk allows for a lot of design space, moreso if you gave yourself another inch or two to work with. Very nice!
Or actually having all the parts in a drawer. Then you don't need to go under the table to fiddle with parts.
@@zaprodk nah why u wanna fiddle with your graphics card
@@ThunderStormFortnite not graphic cards, computer parts in case you need to upgrade it, troubleshoot or swapping component
Hmm that is a good idea. Also perhaps a draw for the laptop/tablet/phones - so they can be charging and connected to the PC - probably a draw with a powered USB hub in the back so only only the pair of cables that tether the draw? Has to be said though this is a seriously wasteful design - there is more than enough depth to use the largest case fans you can get your hands on, which will be much more energy efficient, quieter, almost certainly perform better and are significantly cheaper. Still need to do the same thing he did with airflow guides and I'd cut a few wedge shaped blocks of wood so the fans can be mounted with as much tilt as possible - as that will improve airflow a little bit.
An ITX motherboard where you install the gpu like in the video, but also get a couple m.2 slots, theres a couple Corsair SFF psus that have a better bigger fan for less sound than the Seasonic server psu on the video and with ATX12VO around the corner we will start to see more compact psu's. then for the HDD i would get some NZXT old brackets or the complete encase for hdds, this to reduce vibrations i liked a lot the way the hdd's were installed in the video but it coul be better. for ssd's tho it really doesnt matter. altough taking in consideration a drawer aproach, it could be very useful for doing hot swaps. For heat dissipation the desing was superb, i would however increased the desk interior clearence to standar ATX PSU, it would have locked chunkier yes, but you could have added an exhaust bottom fan for the cpu cooler, heck maybe installed a good AiO cooler, i guess the motherboard temperarute was OK but i didn't see any VRM or socket temps. I really enjoyed this video since i want to do a project like this for a small pc under the tv in my bedroom to run Android Tv and replace the RokuTv experience.
Before I even watch it. I am excited to see the process because several years ago I thought about this but never had the funds/skill to create it
very awesome build. The only thing I would change is the leg style. I would opt to get some type of legs where it has a hollow inside. That way you can run power and ethernet cables down through it to connect to an outlet, and have literally no cables showing.
Next video: Most people would assume that this an ordinary piano. But this is quite literally a 'keyboard'
I just realized, this PC will keep your legs warm during winter. Nice.
Exactly ;-) Probably also your hands on the table.......
yea and during the summer :)
My 1994 Amiga did the same thing, my 1970 Grundig colour TV would heat the whole room, the bloody lights would dim when you switch it on because of the massive degaussing current, then there was a loud 17khz whine as the HT transformer powered up, followed by a loud static hiss & crackle as the 60KV tube supply powered up, about 3 minutes later you actually get a picture, but the colour keeps changing as it warmed up. And forget digital tuning, this was done using 6 pot core ferrite tuners in a drawer on the front panel. That was your 6 channels! :P
Lap tops will to
Let's make it to top comment!!!
You are absolutely amazing! What a great channel. Thank you.
Thank a lot Mat, this was brilliant.
