This is the music of my life. I am an old man now, but the aches go away when I listen to this classic intricate music and my soul soars back when I was young and the slightest smile to a beautiful lady would end in a night of love and passion. I was never a one night stand man. Within a month this lady would have her clothes beside mine. What a wonderful time to be alive and virile. Thank you for the music of my life and soul.
♥️♥️♥️
We must be related....this is the music my soul craves. The unique style that is the essence of genius and art brought together, never duplicated, never matched.
You must be talking about the 60's (or therebouts) when if you asked someone out it was pretty certain it would lead to love making. I still remember the flowers in the hair, the Prairie dresses, and it was hard to find a lovely that wore a bra.
We’re all with each other brother. I keep coming back to these guys as it relaxes me an inspires my WHY
Lol
I am 75 yrs. Old, and have been a Floyd fan since '68, when I listen to Pink Floyd, my neighbor's listen to Pink Floyd.
You have a very good music taste, sir :)
I wouldn't mind being your neighbor. I love Pink Floyd too ❤️

I saw them in 77, wore out the vinyl, then unfortunately lost them for a while. Now I always seem to end my day with them, no matter how many times I've heard the songs. No one else compares!
I like to call it classical rock do you think that’s OK?
it's almost impossible not to cry while listening to this. I've seen Gilmour live three times : once in Firenze (Florence, Italy), once at the Royal Albert Hall and above all in Pompei in 2016. I've always been moved to tears by the way this man touches those strings. I will be forever grateful to Pink Floyd and David Gilmour for every emotion they have been able to evoke in me during all these years I've been listening to them. Best band to ever walk this earth , period.
U said my words too but unfortunately I've been never on a concert I started to listening to them when i was 14. and i agree with you that no one in the world can play guitar so emotionally like David Gilmour
i agree and i cry too my friend
Agree.
SIMPLY THE BEST💖

Pink Floyd never gets old
I listen to Pink Floyd every day and I never get tired of it. Love PF and their music ❤
I m old too! 45 years ago I was listening with my 1st, ❤️ Soothing music and ethereal 🎶🌹🙏Thank you Always 😊
Hello, how are you doing? It Is nice you here.
I've been listening to Pink Floyd since I was a teenager, I'm now 62 and I love this music. Shine on you crazy diamond is one of my all time favorites
We share the same name!! Hello pink diamond
I like comfortably knumb, by several artists. I’m 64. I’m glad music lives onnnn
Detto! .. but I'm 61 Years old 🙂.
I'm french, 58, I started to follow Pink Floyd and by the way of traductions, I was so touched that no words can explain. I still listen to them and the emotion is still there.
Absolute gem.
My god, this song (coming back to life) has been my go to tune for the last year and a half through chemo and complete lockdown; played over and over, picked up my guitar for the first time since being diagnosed with MS as my hands dont work sometimes and learned how to play this, yet u still get just as lost in this song as much as i did the first time i heard it. This will never get old
Stay strong Emily, prayers for a full recovery. Gilmore's music alone is enough to make one want to live forever. Enjoy the music and best of luck with your chemo and treatments.
@@markheintz1878 how kind, thank you for your best wishes xxx
Coincidence? I don't think so!
I too have a really hard time playing since I've been diagnosed with Parkinson's. Play as much as you can if only to enjoy the sounds yourself. Stay strong and love often ❤️
@@timothyshultz1461 im so sorry to hear that. Bless you. How long since your diagnosis? X

Doggone it I'm a grown man and I still cry every time this music enters my soul my tears are real and this music is the fabric of my life We Salute Pink Floyd and the love we have for all of them exclamation point
Understood 100% my brother..
Il meglio dei pink floyd ci sono cresciuto e ho avuto una vita spericolata ci faccio dei bei viaggi.
For 50 years I listened to the songs and music of the rock band Pink Floyd and in my whole life it will remain the best rock band.
Same here!
There will never be any band better than Pink Floyd, in my opinion. Just fantastic!
Along with number one Led Zeppelin. The two stand alone in their unique “way before their time” geniuses.
Pink Floyd as a group were basically done releasing new music when I started becoming aware of music (I was born in '87), I'll always be sad that I couldn't experience their music as it was released. They will always be my favorite and the best, their music just speaks to me in a way that no one else's does (and David Gilmour's guitar playing reaches me in ways no one else's can).
my thoughts exactly!!!
How is David only ranked No. 14 guitarist of all time? He's simply the best. No doubt about it.
Maybe he was also ranked number 1 to number 13 as well. Now that would make perfect sense.
Let's see: EVH, Rhodes, Page, SRV, Buckethead, hmmm, tie for 6th with Blackmore...
Yep!
He's definitely an all time great guitarist but #1 is a reach! What a show this was!
@@jasonvirgilio119 Understood, man. We've all got our faves.
What an exquisite show. One for the ages.
I'm in my 70,z now and I have the great Joy of playing with this Great band when ever I tune them in. I completely forget all the aches and pains that go along with growing older. Being a lifelong musician lm transported to the days of my youth when anything goes and nothing stood in the way. Thank you David and the entirety of all the awesome incredible artists that create the musical entity you exist in, PINK FLOYD and from the bottom of my heart I thank you for letting me play along and recapture the feelings of my youth. Not once have you guys threatened to not let me come back even when i stumble and make mistakes.😅
I wish my Dad was here to watch this with me, we'd both be bawling our eyes out. Pink Floyd settled our differences, brought us together and took us on a fantastic journey for 40 years.
You and me both my friend
Lucky you Francesco. I had zero relationship with my dad, I tried and he died too. Kudos for making those powerful memories.

Such a beautiful concert and song ✌️🌍🎼🎺🎸🪕🎻🥁🎹🎷🪈🪇🪗
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
Precisely.
I never tire of watching this video. Unfortunately, it could never happen again since three of the artists are no longer with us, the incredibly talented Richard Wright who died about a year after this concert, the late David Bowie who left us in 2016, and the recent passing of David Crosby in 2022. I have been fortunate to see David Gilmour and Pink Floyd many times over the years having first seen them in the 70s. My favorite concert that I saw them was in the late 90s because I was able to take my late mother with me to see them, she loved music and she loved Pink Floyd. Thank you, David Gilmour, for creating and sharing your immense talents and wonderful music with the world 🌎.
When this guy is going to die, I'm not going to lose a musician but I'm going to lose the one and only real friend who has always helped me in good and bad moments through his music
I'm right there with you....
while his physical body will at some point be lost, (just like the rest of us), I believe David Gilmour's music, spirit , and his ways of making this world a better place will live forever. I say that if God exists, the To greatest things He ever did were one putting a guitar in David gilmour's hands In 2 giving all the rest of us ears to listen to him play it
He's not going to die.
@@lauriehudson9493 Oui Laurie, oui c'est ça.

I love that David Bowie joined David Gilmour and the group for this concert. RIP David Bowie. One of the best, gone far too soon.
David Bowie really was one of the greatest frontmen and performers that ever lived. Rest in Peace DB X 🙌👏💖
And now we recently lost David Crosby as well. :(
Fr. Chanson like Waters .. no? 🙂
It's kinda fitting though because every comment section under a Floyd concert video is full of people paying tribute to their dead loved ones. RIP everyone
I'm very lucky - now 62 - was weened on Dark SoM ... saw The Wall in London in the 80's and Pulse in London. Seen both Waters and Gilmour live too ... Gilmore is a genius - Thanks for amazing touching and emotional masterpieces - I have a 6 foot wide piece of Floyd Wall Art in my living room ... !!
Echoes. Best song of all times. 23 minutes of pure art
First time I have seen David Gilmour play the Sax, and he plays with emotion...
Red Sky at night is one of my favorite pieces as sax player…
I was glad to see he used his mouth
Amazing how David can make the strings sing away, what a gift he has been blessed with.
Clapton could do it as well. This's such a marvel make you cry. I guess it's a gift from that guy on the Sky )))
@@eugene956 Clapton is a different kind of a guitarist. Enjoyably faster than fast on his guitar. Gilmore’s style is slower but beautifully melodic. However, Money and Comfortably Numb shows he can rip too. Gilmour has jammed with Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck. BTW, before he died too young in a helicopter crash, Stevie Ray Vaughn was even faster and better than Eric Clapton. Don’t get me wrong. I have gone to many Eric Clapton concerts back in the day. I grew up with him and all the greats.
@@luciadelia2105 such a shame that Jeff has also left us 🙏

There would be no Pink Floyd without David Gilmore!!!

The type of music that never fades,,,
When he puts on a live show, David seems to have the most well rehearsed bands in history.
When David was young .. ,but now! - his Solos is better and better !!! ❤❤❤

This video powerfully re-enforces my belief that there is a beautiful harmony where great art meets outstanding performance, that is entirely musical and not in the slightest ego-driven, because it's all about the piece and rendering it in a most excellent way. Really, Pink Floyd has always been about the entire sonic canvas, as opposed to the individual parts or showmanship. And Gilmour repeatedly demonstrates this in how he plays the guitar and uses effects - like a painter trying to make the painting better with his every brushstroke.

His singing on comfortably numb is bad, but I can appreciate his take on it, however I still feel he should he kept it closer to the original.
Personally, I think David Bowie ranks right up there with Pink Floyd for his originality. Crosby and Nash too. Hence why David Gilmour invited them to sing with him. I feel honored to watch all of these great artists.
