  • This is the music of my life. I am an old man now, but the aches go away when I listen to this classic intricate music and my soul soars back when I was young and the slightest smile to a beautiful lady would end in a night of love and passion. I was never a one night stand man. Within a month this lady would have her clothes beside mine. What a wonderful time to be alive and virile. Thank you for the music of my life and soul.

  • it's almost impossible not to cry while listening to this. I've seen Gilmour live three times : once in Firenze (Florence, Italy), once at the Royal Albert Hall and above all in Pompei in 2016. I've always been moved to tears by the way this man touches those strings. I will be forever grateful to Pink Floyd and David Gilmour for every emotion they have been able to evoke in me during all these years I've been listening to them. Best band to ever walk this earth , period.

Unfortunately, it could never happen again since three of the artists are no longer with us, the incredibly talented Richard Wright who died about a year after this concert, the late David Bowie who left us in 2016, and the recent passing of David Crosby in 2022. I have been fortunate to see David Gilmour and Pink Floyd many times over the years having first seen them in the 70s. My favorite concert that I saw them was in the late 90s because I was able to take my late mother with me to see them, she loved music and she loved Pink Floyd. Thank you, David Gilmour, for creating and sharing your immense talents and wonderful music with the world 🌎.

However, Money and Comfortably Numb shows he can rip too. Gilmour has jammed with Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck. BTW, before he died too young in a helicopter crash, Stevie Ray Vaughn was even faster and better than Eric Clapton. Don’t get me wrong. I have gone to many Eric Clapton concerts back in the day. • This video powerfully re-enforces my belief that there is a beautiful harmony where great art meets outstanding performance, that is entirely musical and not in the slightest ego-driven, because it's all about the piece and rendering it in a most excellent way. Really, Pink Floyd has always been about the entire sonic canvas, as opposed to the individual parts or showmanship. And Gilmour repeatedly demonstrates this in how he plays the guitar and uses effects - like a painter trying to make the painting better with his every brushstroke.
