WHY I OFTEN DON'T MENTION OTHER BRANDS IN MY VIDEOS.
You may have noticed that I often don't mention the original brands that watches I am reviewing pay homage to. This is very intentional and not meant to offend you or the original brands. I lost my first channel in October 2020 which I had spent 9 months growing and invested a significant amount of money in simply because I had mentioned the original brands in some of my videos. There are people who try to use KZheads lack of understanding when it comes to the difference between homage watches and fake watches to attack other channels and their owners and sadly I fell foul of this in 2020. This channel was also attacked recently and KZhead deleted content simply because I had said 'subby homage' and 'Rolex homage' in two videos despite the watches in the videos being perfectly legal homage watches. Please understand that I can not afford to risk my channel so I will no longer be mentioning other brands when reviewing homage watches.

The Baltany looks like a pretty nice Rollie 1016 Explorer homage. I know that you like the applied numerals, but the printed lume numerals and indices dial are more faithful to the original 1016. Appreciate you bringing these to our attention Gary.
As I watch this I'm glancing occasionally at the sandy-dialled Addiesdive AD2030 on my wrist & even after 6 months it's still my favourite from 60+ others. Alongside £6k offerings from Rolex, £4k Omega & £3k Grand Seiko, I'm still amazed the AD2030 can be delivered for less than £45 in the regular AliEx sales.
I know how you feel, can’t stop wearing mine despite having a large collection. The fact that it was so affordable is just so satisfying, and when you factor the look,feel and quality, you can’t go wrong.
That selection left me with the feeling that things are getting a lot more expensive. I've built up a big collection over the past few years - mainly Ali, so it becomes more difficult to find pieces that are different, interesting and excellent value. I've been into the "Chinese" brands lately - Sea-Gull, Sugess, Parnis, Eungu, where there are some beautiful watches still well priced.
I have an Octopus Kraken Gary and I love it. One of my favourites to use a backup when out diving. In fact I'll be wearing it very shortly as we are heading down to the Mediterranean coast right now for a club organized dive ! The name really resonates with divers, the Octopus we encounter every time we dive and the Kraken, a mythical monster we are happy never to encounter ! Excellent list of watches as always . 👏👏

That Hruodland F027 looks great. I love my F018 from them, and despite them both being very similar, I'm highly tempted to add yet another retro styled like-a-pilot's watch with a coin-edge bezel to my collection. If I've got 3, another won't hurt, yeah? Would love to see a review on it.

hey Gary, i really like SM 3 handers but i never got one bc they use nh35. can you please tell them that people like me wouldnt mind paying a bit extra for the proper movement? they are missing out on alot of clients bc of that.
Hi. I have heard a few reviewers say that the NH35 isn't a great movement. Why is this please? I can't find any decent videos explaining why. Genuinly interested, and as a watch fan, keen to soak up some more knowledge. All the best. Steve.
@@maxmoony69 the nh35 is a robust reliable and modern movement. The issue is it has a date complication. With a non date watch it results in a ghost position with the crown. There is a proper movement with no date and can be used as an open heart (balance wheel exposed) which is called the nh38. The same great movement but with no date complication. SM used to say it wasnt avaliable during the covid crisis but now there are no excuses for not using the proper movement when brands like Baltany (which is cheaper) use. I hope that helps..
I have that kraken watch. Got it in the 11/11 sale. It’s a banger. I legitimately prefer it over the omega. The non-skeleton hands make it much easier to read and it doesn’t have that dumb two color lume thing the smp300 has.

@@HitarouYotukai-ir6gr right around $245usd after tax I believe. They haven’t had the white one in stock in forever though. If that’s the one you want you may have to inquire about it.

My aventurine dial GMT from san developed a hairline crack on the dial. They are replacing, but something for others to look out for if they’ve got a stone dial.
Baltany also recently released an "Exploring" watch with applied 3, 6, 9 markers in 36mm. They have all our tasted covered!
That Lobinni watch with a day-of-the-week complication where you'd expect a moonphase made me chuckle a bit. Come on, that's quite a bit of an afterthought! 😄
If san martin had the lobinni design team ❤❤❤ I just had a look through their catalog, and holy ahit, do they have incredible designs. If their watches are as well made as they look, I want the entire catalog.

San Martin should release watches with the myota 9000 series movement
Last week I ordered and received a new variant (upgrade) of the San Martin 39mm Luxury GMT with a brushed dial and black C3 Lume : Model No SN0129G-3 - it looks stunning!
They need to offer the current line up with Miyota 9075 to give a true gmt option. They will sell a lot of watches offering this option

I have that Baltany explorer homage with the brown face. It is spectacular, and its price makes it doubly so. In to look at. Everything about it is incredible at the price point and it's become almost a daily wear watch.
More on Lobinni, please, that's the one I like the most.

The crazy high Steeldive prices you were looking at for a couple of their watches are not the actual price. That is the retail price of the watch. If you click on the watch, you'll see that the price of the watch is much lower than that. I've noticed that a lot of AE brands are doing this now. I don't know why.

Some nice watches there but the prices of many appear to have gone through the roof. £130 to £430 for an aliexpress homage 😳 Guess I will be waiting for an aliexpress sale and keeping my fingers crossed. (also keeping them crossed when hoping for more with quartz movements)
It's not the real price it's their retail price. When you click on the watch the actual price will be shown on their webpage which is much lower.

Really ? I'm surprised. I'm a scuba diver myself, actually heading out now from where I live on the Mediterranean coast ! I have a lot of dive watches I use as a backup including an Octopus Kraken. For me it's one of the most perfect names for a dive watch, it represents a sea creature we encounter every time we dive and a mythical one we'll never see! 😊 However if someone is using these watches just for diving into the kitchen sink I can understand there might be no emotional connection to the name. But, it's a big factor in selling to scuba divers. I think everyone in our club owns at least one Octopus.

I like the name ‘Octopus’. It’s a real (and relevant) word and better than ‘Baltany’ which sounds like a fake Home Bargains brand, trying to sound posh.

I’ve never been worried by the Hroudland name, understanding that it is a Frankish/Latin variation of the name Roland. However on that second model there was really no need to extend it even further with Hruodland Watch Co. Especially in that script. Also, I’ve seen some bad hour-hands in my time, but this one is bollocks. Literally, a pair of hanging balls.

There are some watches from big brands that I don't like because i think those watches are ugly. Not because the brand nor the price. So when these AliX brands do them, just like most watched in this videos, i also don't like them. No question.
I can't buy any watch called SanMartin, Addiesdive whatever quality it is...Baltany and Sugess are the only one with quality font dial, logo and even brand name...
You're obviously not of Spanish/ Hispanic descent. San Martin is a perfectly normal name and a really great one at that!

I own at least 3 Steeldive watches and love them all but they need to stop using that oversized onion crown on watches it doesn't work with. Which is most, to be honest.
