probably the melody, he has to learn to play all that
The audio, the union between the songs is the most difficult part and it is the one that takes the most time. 1 month and a half for audio production including percussion and all other sounds to be included. 3 weeks for editing. When merging the songs, there are already most of the ideas for the video and therefore it becomes faster to complete it.

I am 31, and you managed to solve a lifelong mystery for me. The song you played for 182 used to play on loop on one of our local ice cream trucks. For many years i heard it play, and I never knew what song it was. I'd even ask others around me, they either didn't know, couldn't remember, or answered something like "don't know, but i know it's an old song". One day, I even asked the ice cream truck driver what the tune was.. to which he replied "I'm not sure, I bought the truck like this". Thank you, for not only a flawless video with seamless transitions, but for solving that mystery. As soon as the tune played I felt like I was 7 years old in my old neighborhood.

my only question is how many cuts are edited and how many are not? the edited cuts are clearly not as difficult to play and harder in post but the ones where he switches while playing must be crazy difficult with the tempo changes and key changes.

The overall work almost 3 months: 1 month and a half for audio production, merging the songs is the hardest part and about 2 days to learn everything by heart. 3 weeks for video editing

bpm matching and key matching, its pretty similar to DJing, but all performed live on a piano, ok, well more like note matching but its the same principal, find songs with similar bpm, drop from one to another when you find a matching note/chord

One thing that I very much appreciate is that you always try to find something in common between 2 or more songs and make some sort of superb transition between them and maybe even mashing them up. Not just the songs too but also the visuals. I think that's a huge amount of work just for a video about memes and that's what makes this video so much better
