I mean its cool somewhat, but hell if you are doing a 100mph acceleration all while doing a typing test AND 100 + words per minute, well I think you automatically win at life,,,, Check and Mate.

    • Once you've tried some actually good clicky switches I think your regard for MX blues will become about as low as mine is for most MX variants 🤣 Unfortunately you're then stuck buying really expensive reproduction boards or really expensive vintage boards 😞... unless you skip the vintage phase altogether and go straight for a Matias (don't get the "quiet" ones, they chatter) or Unicomp (no NKRO, it's buckling spring over membrane 😒). Either of those feel amazing compared to an MX variant and the sound is just next level (if that's what you're looking for). I've found the Matias Tactile Pro to be the best compromise between key feel, availability, price and features (NKRO, media keys, USB passthrough) if you only ever want to buy one.

  • To get rid of the white noise in the background of the file, all you have to do is turn up the volume of the key to %100 and take the lowpass filter and drag it to around 16000 or until your satisfied. Hope this helps

    @nicholasdoan4030@nicholasdoan40303 жыл бұрын
    • Probably be better off using the noise reduction effect instead. A full blown lowpass wouldn't capture the entire spectrum of the audio and would give the wrong impression of the sound profile.

  • The problem I can see with this is that if you have a keyboard where the input signal comes a little after the tactile bump, you are never going to get rid of this initial delay. Maybe if you used switches that have some low latency feature (I don't know if these exist and they probably don't) this could be even more convincing. But I thought of the idea of doing that myself for some while now. Thank you

    @LS-cb7lg@LS-cb7lg3 жыл бұрын
  • Thank you for your sacrifice to the community. This was brilliant. Also, this idea needs to be put into a webbased solution that, like you said, allows people to virtually test drive a keyboard before buying.
