I could tell that the land cruiser dude kept it on high range, thats why after shifting to second gear the car started slowing down rapidly, he should have put it on low range and shifted accordingly to achieve the max amount of torque while climbing, ive done that many times and it climbs so much better.

@@hatimabdelmounim6587 you should study about what is OFFLOAD. you said "the land cruiser got stuck in sand". this sentence proves that you have no experience or knowledge of OFFLOAD. if you stuck in sand, you can solve it by just digging hole or bringing something like board. but can you solve the probrem at regulated conditions when your car needs mecanical repair? even if you have skill at mecanic, it is nonsense if you haven't almost alternative parts.

For a long distance trip, I'd take the land cruiser just because of reliability. However the g wagon is powerful so probably excels in this. Shame the test wasn't on the same line though... Since you can see different angles of the dunes
Give the cars to someone who know how to off road, even if Mercedes will be the first to reach but it is impossible that the Nissan and Land Cruiser will stuck like that, I know that area, it is not a very huge dune

even my 20+ y/o landcruiser doesn't get stuck like these cars it's clearly the drivers fault .. even without momentum you can just drive at max gear 2nd with very high rpm and ofc with the 4x4 sys

If those cars got stuck there, the drivers are to blame
If taken at an angle, it would've helped building up speed. But going straight up a dune with a short distance to build up speed, the cars did really well and all the drivers had to do is floor it and shift correctly. If there was something that could've helped get a different result, it'd be deflating even lower than 15 psi. But we really didn't want to have a pop-out that morning.
Obviously !! the 3 mechanical Diffs + 416 hp engine vs 361hp LC vs 400hp NP didn't make any difference whatsoever !!

Well 3 diff locks beats one I guess. It’s not just a Mercedes, it is G wagon. However LC still offers the best value for money and possibly the best out of the 3 for durability. Patrol is nice but just so happens to face even tougher competitors. Objectively speaking.

actually u r wrong regarding the price both of the Japanese legends almost equals the German monster cuz patrol costs around 80K $ and the cruiser costs around 90k $ (full options) in uae and u can buy the benz if u have 210k $ so u do the math its not exactly as u said but it is expensive for what u get

U hadn't set the terrain mode for the LC...and u had grip stick tyres of completely larger size on the g500...there's no doubt that the g wagon would reach on top with those tyres

Ig it's due to sand pattern as you observe the middle track was the longest whereas other all only to certain point and that's exactly where other 2 cars stopped ig it's biased score.

The Mercedes is customized having bigger wheels and good ground clearance while on the other hand patrol and cruiser are with normal tyres and in normal condition. So, the Mercedes can definitely go over the sand more easier than others, just try a customized version of cruiser and patrol with it, nothing can stop them.
