  • Will the drone follow you all the way down?

    • We found that the active tracking feature did not cope well with snowboarding as it doesn't change altitude, when you are riding downhill it doesn't work particularly well! Get some confidence flying and following riders on wide open slopes it was better to do it manually! :)

    • Is there also a drone that is small and compact and adjusts its altitude with the follow me function?

    • @fabiangrimm509 yes there is or was one that followed the gps beacon in your back pack/pocket. Cant remember the name of that startup but it had problems as well and was a bit expensive

    • @@a6km I believe you are referring to the Lily drone? (or something like that) I don't think it ever got past the kick starter!

  • The Mini 4 is a great drone, but it's not really good for snowboard filming. The Follow-Me doesn't adjust the altitude so you can't really use it for that. Also most resorts don't allow drones.

    • The drone itself is great for filming snowboarding! it’s lightweight and does not require a licence to fly, we totally agree the auto track isn’t best suited to filming snowboarding but flying it manually you can get some excellent shots of riding! All resorts have different rules and regulations and we recommend checking them out before flying anywhere (DJI have a map that can help with this!) 😊 we are talking about specifically flying in the backcountry in this video!
