I don’t know if that extra 2 hours of battery life will be significantly different in real life.
I think a drain test should use standardized CPU/GPU use vs. alternating between different applications and system usage levels (as evidenced by the extra time the Pro squeezed out during low intensity KZhead playback).
The fact that some people literally use from 100-0 in the same spot is crazy

Been using 15 plus for almost a week now and the battery is superb tbvh! If i charge it 100 by 7pm it lasts until 7:00 to 7:30am if using without a break. And the best part is that it doesnt heat if i play games or do editing.

good test but two things missing for me idle time for 4 hours or more , and the exact version of Its, cos I've noticed that since IOS 17.0.3 or 17.1 Public beta I got an extra hour approx on the. 15 PM compared to my 14 PM.
I’ve always had a pro max. This 15 I switched out to 15 plus and wow! It lasts me over a day and a half sometimes.

how is the battery of iphone 15 pro compared to iphone 15 with 120hz turned off?
I think the best way to test it is to use the same thing continuously. Example a game or a KZhead video on repeat. Then we would have an exact percentage of how much better each battery is doing the same task. A video on repeat would be the fairest way and most exact I recon. This video was good to know. Shame I ordered the pro max then changed to pro just lol
No, this is not the best method for testing the battery, because in different tasks the battery is discharged differently and if in youtube the difference can be 30%, then in games it can be 50%, which can be misleading.

@@ieditedmyname289 You can enable it in the settings app. The maximum refresh rate will be set to 60Hz then. Although why would you get the 15 Pro instead of the regular 15 if you set it to 60Hz anyways?

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max, I would like to get a 15 Pro Max. Is there still the problem of overheating?
Been using the 15PM for over a week now and the battery life has been very good. Though before, I saw many posts online saying the 15P was the champ at battery life. Yet the 15PM beat it by close to an hour. Either there’s some inconsistencies in their tests, or the 15PM lasts longer. Which I believe due to personal experience. And considering the refresh rate can change so it saves battery here and there.
you could say that the 15P is better considering the battery difference between it and 15PM, 3274mAH vs 4852mAH

Dude did you use a pro model before 15 PM?
Every other test has the 15 Plus winning by a decent margin. In this test the PM would have died 3minutes after the Plus had he continued playing PUBG, like he said in the video.
I have the 15 Pro max and the 15 Plus in hand. 15 Plus beats it by close to 3 hours in battery life and by 45 ish minutes when Pro Max is set to 60 HRz.
How about the temp? My iphone so hot when I used to play games

I have the 15 plus and I’m very impressed with the battery life. I go to work at 100%, watch shows on my break and listen to podcasts all day. When I get home my battery is still around 75%

I guess the best way to test the battery endurance is to do same thing throughout the test, either play PubG till it dies or stream KZhead till it dies. That way, the comparison would be fair.
I have an iPhone 13 with 88% battery health and I still get through my day if I’m not in deep rural area where searching for signal drains the battery. When I’m upgrading it will be 15 plus

Using iOS 17.1 beta.... 15 Pro Max battery is on absolute steroids after this update. My phone had 72% charge at 8:45 AM this morning. It is 6:30 PM now and it is at 32%. It was last at 100% charge yesterday at 8:06 PM. This is with decent amount of use, I am not exaggerating this battery with the newest update is a tank

Hello,I have a problem with my battery.Battery decreased 3%in last 2weeks .I bought this on February 2024. Average screen on time is 5-6 hrs daily. Is this normal?
i just placed my order for a 15Pro, will be upgrading from a 13Pro. looking forward to the better camera, usb-c,and snappy performance of the A17. the ability to use the phone with one hand as opposed to needing two hands for the larger sized phones is really one of the main reasons i did/will be going with the 15Pro. this, along with how quickly you can get a usable amount of charge in a short time with either wired or wireless charging, doesnt make me too concerned with the slightly shorter battery life.

@@AkashdeepSingh-ns9py maybe 10% better, had my 13 pro from oct '21 to oct '23, and the settings said the useful battery life was down to 82%. though my macbook pro takes care of most of my youtube'ing, emailing and working from home, so there are times where i can let it go 24 hours without a charge
so far my phone has been fine in terms of the overheating issue - i havent experienced anything significant. it gets warm when using my ipad brick and magsafe wireless charger, which is typical, and according to apple some of the 3d party apps really run up CPU usage.the latest ios17.1 supposedly has repaired the issue with the phones getting way too hot. software not hardware issue supposedly.

apple's little mind games with subtle tweaks on each device with LITERALLY every aspect starting from the price ending up with soft/hardware details is kind of "draining".
