In my opinion, that 18/19 season was Messi’s best season. He single handedly almost won them the treble. They should have beaten Liverpool and went on to the finals to beat Spurs, but they choked. Messi just has that little "magical" touch which makes him different from anyone else, he looks effortless and when he plays it looks as if he plays with heart and he pours in all his feelings to an extend that the ball looks glued to his legs. It was a Gift to be able to watch the 2 Greatest Players EVER perform each week, for YEARS at a level no one else can ever approach. For me, football was never the same the moment Ronaldo went to Juventus. Never. This Era of football, the spirit of every single player in the Real Madrid and Barcelona side was just something else. I supported Real Madrid yet still knew every single player in the Barcelona side. I am a big fan of Ronaldo but I have to admit I also admire Messi and now realize that I also should have watched all his games. Ronaldo is an unmatchable goal machine and Messis dribbling is from another planet. I miss the rivalry of these two players and these two teams. Damn. I m a Real fan ,but i love both of them and Messi made me cry today when he s won the World Cup! I m happy someone from my generation still shows so much strength at this age .
