  • His destruction of Jose is unlike anything we’ve ever seen. To be humiliated like that live for so many months and then to be knocked out in 13 seconds is absolutely insane. Glad to see they both respect each other now, but conor was a vicious killer back in the day.

  • Diaz vs Mcgregor 2 remains my favorite fight of all time. It's sentimental too. My best friend from when he was 4 and I was 5 was down in Wenatchee WA and it's the last thing we talked about, because the very next day he had a swimming accident that snapped his neck and caused him to go brain dead. They turned off his machine. I will always remember Wyatt any time I think of or see Diaz vs Mcgregor 2. Wyatt said "That was the best fight!" RIP little brother.

  • It genuinely is super depressing to see how good Mcgregor was, how hungry, how passionate, how verbally and Combat proficient he was. To see him go to Boxing once, then off the rails all together, to having too much money to need to ever compete again, to getting smashed by Khabib which he deserved as the things he said weren't him just being a master trash talker it was actually foul, and the way he acted was pathetic, to smashing Cerrone which was insane and had us all thinking we could have Mcgregor back, then he is back off the rails before 2 losses to Dustin, then vanished again.

  • McGregor used to have that hunger when he was facing Aldo. Nowadays the man is a made man and don’t nearly train as much as he once did. And why would he? The guy is rich and only really need to jump into the ring every now and then so people don’t forget all about him. That mayweather has already cemented his legacy in the sport.

  • What's so insane about his mental warfare of Aldo is how incredibly effective it was. Mcgregor dominated Alvarez over the course of several rounds using a similar strategy, and while the fight lasted way longer Mcgregor didn't have a scratch on him at the end. While Aldo was such an insanely good striker with so much power and speed that even though it ended in 13 seconds, that one left punch that clipped Mcgregor was enough to leave a bruise above his eye. But the problem was he just went off and tried to end it there. And Conor was ultimately right, precision beats power and timing beats speed. Aldo paid no attention to having precision or timing and just wanted to make Mcgregor pay for all the months of trash talk, and he would have likely put Mcgregor to sleep if that full combination had connected. But Conor saw it coming, and got out of the way of most of it, and while Aldo was wide open he ended it. Really makes you wonder how things would've ended if Aldo stayed calmer similar to Khabib, or even like Chad Mendes who almost beat Conor in their interim title fight, albeit got too gassed to close it out. But I don't see prime Aldo tiring like that, so even though at surface value people will think the fight had a very definitive result, the way I see it I think it was actually kinda inconclusive as to who was the better fighter.

    @Geirks280@Geirks280 Жыл бұрын
    • That type of awareness seals him as the better fighter at that time . He mentally beat his opponent then identified the combo and countered . Fight over

    • Isnt the mission in combat warfare "to hit and not get hit" its kinda simple AF!! n noone did it better than conor in his prime at 145, and another example of someone who absolutey dominates fights by being a master jedi of "hitting without been hit" is floyd maywhether.... conor is a freak of nature when you look at his ability to adapt to everyone he fought, adapting to diffrent fighting styles takes a certain "RING IQ" in my opinion conor has a genuis level of intelligence in the ring cant be taught, cant be imitated, or replicated. Agree or not, he is and will be for all time the biggest name (brand) in mixed martial arts

  • The charisma and new energy he breathed into the sport was truly addictive to watch. Comparable to a highly rated sitcom or Netflix series, when he went mainstream it was something special to become glued to. From the fight build ups, even the Twitter wars and memes made a day between fights special, then the long awaited press conferences, which mcgregor’s star shined so bright the ufc had to adjust them to just the two fighters instead of the whole card. Then we saw pretty much the entire roster at all weight divisions hate the man, a time when Woodley was thought of as the biggest killer ever and 25 lbs heavier , Connor punked him after weigh ins while grabbing a fruit basket or sum shit, the Aldo interviews and build up were gold, and really that’s only reason Diaz came into the picture. Those didn’t disappoint either. I remember being so embraced in the moment I’d actually feel nervous and anxiety the start of figgt week, and a few times getting into bar fights just from experiencing the energy from the whole thing. Connor def owes it to his fellow countrymen for brightening his star, but really it was like a articulate.M comedian that had a good left hand and brilliant psychological warfare. Let’s be honest tho, the “playin touch butt w the dork in the park” from Nate was the chink in the armor and at that moment he was at his peak
