Sketchy Things About Steven Seagal That We All Ignored

Steven Seagal is a bit of an enigma for a lot of martial artists because a lot of people see him as a person who is incapable of telling the truth, but at the same time, they respect him as someone who has achieved a high level of skill in the art of Aikido.
The problem is that if Steven Seagal, the movie star, were just Steven Seagal who runs a martial arts gym in Suburbia, Midwest USA, he would be seen as a predator who would be in one of Rob's McDojoLife McDojo News videos because Steven Seagal is an absolute monster who has done nothing his entire career but place himself in positions to engage in predatory behavior.

    • 1st time here, I really like your channels tone, way things are presented, colors are comfortable, etc. Few years ago I too fell into a Steven Segul rabbit hole after seeing youtuber comedian "CallMeKevin" did a bit similar to this but with other info not included here that's unreal. Am not a fan of "slam" videos on anyone really, but after researching Seagull, and finding it was all true and MORE.. Oh no I found things even darker than what Kevin or this show presented. The mob stuff, commercial ads he did that made no sense at all (he had a flavor of soda pop called "Raging Asian" or similar, no kidding, "Hey, can I get a Raging Asian please?") and his own personal life too. Am no angel or saint, but nobody has bought me yet. Like you, there's so much wrong or off with the guy that I have to stop here from this being too long. You're totally right w everything you said in this video, it matches dead on with my own research but I will watch these links.. maybe subscribe too as this guy.. ugh. He kind of deserves this being such a blatant liar. And fraud. Sorry I don't know your real name or handle yet, but thanks for posting this. Updates are welcome, Please.

  • My wife has worked at a lot of veterinary clinics in Vancouver and Steven Segal brought his pet to one of them once. Apparently he is a major prick that was weird about having to talk to the staff and left everyone there disliking him and his diva attitude. I met jean claude vandamme one time when I carried his groceries to the car at the store I was working at. He politely thanked me for saying I loved the universal soldier as a kid and tipped me and another guy 5 bucks each for carrying the groceries. Vandamme over Segal any day of the week

Thats why they are so effective monsters in the first place, and people turn blind eye if the monster reveal itself for a moment. That said, these kind of exposing videos are full of lies and missinformation same as Seagal himself, all just because clicks and views.

    • All kidding aside, the wrist locking warmups from aikido are good exercises and are effective controling waza if coupled with other techniques from Judo or jujitsu, for on-the-street self defense or "incidental" hidden leverage in tournament (if you hide them in legal maneuvers). But as they are considered dangerous "small joint attacks", they can't be directly relied on in sport grappling.

    @danielarola2788@danielarola27882 жыл бұрын
    • If someone put me on the spot, and asked me what I thought of JC.. I would have said that he isnt in my class of skill level... Most especially in my younger days. That said... it does not mean that I want to have to Prove it to him... by Crippling or ENDING the dude. And this is the problem. JC was that emotionally weak... as to be effected so easily by such a statement.. that he HAD to get into a real fight. Ive had a certain artist make similar challenges to me... but it was across an email. I reminded him, that every interaction I had with him when teaching him some things... was me just "Playing Around". And I reminded him of the difference between Sparring and Fighting was. IE: Broken teeth / Bones, possible hospitalization, potentially lifelong injuries, and possibly being carried away in a body bag. At that point I stated.. that while I will not fight him... IF he so chose to seek me out, and openly Attack me... that I would not hold back. That I would in fact, use Lethal Force to End him. That I preferred NOT to have to go that route... and that he should really consider if his limbs and life were worth his childish Ego-bound Anger. Seagal did something that I might not have done... And I probably would have been rotting in Prison... if that dude had actually chose to attack me. Fortunately for him, he decided against it. Him walking, or even running away from a real barefist fight... is nothing to be embarrassed about. Its actually the Moral thing to do... even IF he was actually scared. Furthermore... I have more more confidence in Seagal as a combat fighter... because of a healthy level of fear. Anyone whos been in high level combat training for long enough... knows that as good as you can be... that others can be just as good or superior. That all it takes, is a single mistake... for your life to be forfeit. That anything you dish out... could end up crippling, or Ending a mans life. As such, the highest level practitioners... tend to talk down a fight, and only fight... as an absolute LAST RESORT. While Seagal should have been a bit more Humble, and kept his more abrasive opinions to himself... Its easy to understand his position and maturity levels. Most artists will do the same as he did. Ive met plenty of openly Disrespectful martial artists in my career. But these were at sparring event... and while they escalated to full-force, full contact bouts... they Still were not true Barefist, no-rule "fights". As it stands, I had to hold back a lot... and the few times where I allowed myself to teach certain artists a Lesson... Well... one of them suffered an injury to his kneecap.. that took a month for him to fully recover from. After that incident... I basically stopped the sparring games. JC may be a nice dude... and of course, infinitely better as a personal friend... JCs skillsets are extremely limited. His kicks are way too telegraphed, and are way too slow. Ive known far more dangerous kickers, myself included. And there is little else he has behind him, besides strength and fitness. If forced to have to fight him, or Seagal... Id easily choose JC. Seagal has far more skillsets to deal with... and all of his skillsets are at Masterclass levels. While this might hurt JCs "Feelings"... that does not change the Facts of the Matter.

    • I forgot to really add clarity... that its almost Always the Sport Fighters, that want to jump into a real fight, without hesitation. They do not have a realistic distinction between their competition fights... and a Real Barefist street fight. Many of them have never even hit a man, with their barefist... and since most of them never condition their bare fists... they would likely break their knuckles on the first partial-impact, to the OPs head. They are used to fighting with Pillows on their hands, and taped wrists... to keep their Weak wrists from buckling under pressure. A single glove is about 7 inches in diameter, at its thickest point. Two gloves, equate to nearly 1 cubic foot worth of 3D space. When you remove those gloves... their Defensive abilities drop by 80%, instantly. The OP no longer has to use long and wide arcs to get around the gloves. He can slip his fists between the smallest of defensive holes. And when the sport fighter can no longer use their bare fists as "Shields"... then things get Really bad for them... as they dont know how to properly defend attacks. Try placing your fists in front of your face... and all someone has to do, is quickly push your forearms/fists... which will cause you to hit your own fists into your eyes/face. The point here... is that Competition fighters do not know what real combat is like, outside of the ring. As if they DID know... then they would NOT be so eager to rush into a real barefist fight. That is one of the ways that I can tell... whom knows what real combat is actually all about. Whom likely is far more skilled... just by the way that they reply. I personally grew up in a house of physical (and mental) abuses. I was severely beaten, as well as my very life was threatened. As such... when I went to train the combat arts... I had a whole other level of drive behind me. I trained 10x longer, harder, and more intensely... because I knew exactly what hardcore physical violence was all about. I knew, that I had to full master, and then Test everything for real... against OPs that were 2x my own mass and strength... to make SURE, that what I was learning, and doing... could work in the worst of circumstances. As such, I am one of the rare few combat artists... that developed Masterclass level, lethal skillsets. Where as most of the others... could not last 5 seconds against the lowest tier Kickboxer... let alone, a real Barefist fight.

      @johndough8115@johndough81152 жыл бұрын
    • @@danielarola2788 As a combat artists, I do not so much feel fearful of what another fighter can do. I do.. however, fear of having to be Forced to seriously injure or END, a fighter. As such, and as Ive said... A challenge to a sport fight, is very different to real Combat. JC was very fortunate, to have avoided Seagal... as he might not have survived the ordeal. I do not even thing JC has ever even conditioned his knuckles. Seagal, has. One of the MMA fighters I have met and sparred with... had his middle knuckle driven inwards, about 1cm deep... due to a street fight. He got one of the dudes on the ground... and started to hit his head. Well... you have to realize, that since the OP was not on a soft mat... nor a springy + rubberized floor of the Octagon... that bad things were going to happen... The forces hit the OP... but since the Pavement was not going to move... they went right back into his own fists... and drove his middle knuckle deep into his own hand. It looks Awful. And he was lucky that the OPs whom attacked him were poor in skills... or he likely would not have been alive to tell the tale. The point here is... that without the proper conditioning, and experience... such sport fighters are Not really prepared to take on a real Barefist street fight... let alone.. a fight against a Masterclass level combat fighter. One whom has such Iron Fist conditioning... and a LOT more.

And by met, I mean I was standing in an expo hall (huge room) talking to Christine Bannon-Rodriguez when I was shoved from behind by a member of his entourage as they stormed through the room doing whatever the heck he did while he was there. He avoided everyone, didn't allow autographs, did a quick demonstration with his own people, and left. Meanwhile, people like Chuck Norris, Don Wilson, Dan Inosanto, Ernie Reyes Jr and his father, several of the Power Rangers (any of you from the early 90's know how big a deal that was for kids) and so many more huge names, where there, just hanging and chatting with people. So what happened was that Jessica was bartending at a party which involved a lot of powerful people, among them was Manu sharma, the son of a union minister in India and held a lot of power in India, he basically shot her dead in front of everyone because she refused to serve him drinks. Out of the countless witnesses present in the scene, no one chose to testify against him because of fear of repercussions. Steven Seagal was among the witnesses, and unlike the other non cooperating witnesses, the politician had no power over a foreigner yet he still chose to not cooperate. Seagal is one of the people responsible for Jessica not getting the justice she deserved.

Hollywood actor Steven Seagal had also been to Tamarind Court that evening, as had some leading designers and Page 3 people. But none of them testified. It may be in public interest to publish the guest list of those who attended the party in order to show how responsible our fellow citizens are. Therefore, singling out Shayan Munshi is not enough." Btw for context Shayan Munshi was said to be the "only" proved witness of the crime yet he refused to co-operate with police, but we all know there were tons of other people who just so happened to turn blind and "see nothing" as the crime was going on, Seagal being among them. Hypothetically something could wipe out all life in the universe, I haven't seen a narcissist do that yet but it doesn't justify narcissism for something else to be more harmful. Narcissism isn't just having a high opinion of one's self, it is a refusal to acknowledge one's own flaws or mistakes at the expense of others. It is blaming others for one's own flaws and mistakes and imposing punishment on others for one's own flaws and mistakes. Being a narcissist is immensely inherently harmful.

  • Wow. Just... wow, Subscribed. - I've seen a few of your videos with some interesting insights that look beyond the surface into inspiring and controversial topics on martial artists we know and love. You earned some subs. I've never commented here before, I'm a bit shy to weigh in even on a guy like Segull here. I was in Japan briefly while visiting a friend stationed at Yokosuko-Cho (sorry sp.) and have tremendous respect for the artists and culture I met there, and nominally would extend that to any other foreigner who broke in and trained there. As a Gaijin, I did meet some closed doors, but equally I met many open (although this was some time around 2003 / 2004). I've studied martial arts all my life, many styles but mostly Gung Fu - still think I'm a beginner. I learned just enough to stay away from death on a few occasions, avoidance is the best solution I've found - except when trouble stalks you into your quarters at night and it's armed... Anyway, Steven would probably mop the floor with me. I remember being in awe watching his peak films say '87 - '90 and watching him and his body language and expression as he patiently awaited the other actors, (or stuntmen or "mafiosas" heh) clearly far below his level - to get into his frame. He literally had to stop and slow himself down on many occasions before he could react with the choreographed throw or riposte - he wasn't Bruce Lee level fast, but dam he was so far above the lackeys in the movie scene with him in those days I could almost sense the disdain in his posture, even his face expression in some scenes is revealing. Maybe part of his charm? You make a good case for him as an example, after watching this I am determined to improve myself further as a student, aspiring artist, master, and human being. Thanks for the cautionary tale, I like your fearlessness - I still just hope Seagull can change his Karma. Guy shows a lot of potential but seems to be off the path. I just know in life not all is as it seems, brother. -Namaste.
