A personal project of mine, inspired by my favorite Star Wars film, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. I noticed that during the famous climactic fight at the end of the film, John Williams music flawlessly transitions throughout the entire 15 minute fight. However, on all of the official soundtracks, the songs that make up this epic final sequence are often presented segmented and out of order. As a matter of fact, some of the songs used during the fight never got a true wide release. I took it upon myself to take every song that makes up this final sequence, and edit them into one sweeping large scale song, a 14 minute beast that accurately portrays the final fight, while staying true to the film. I took some liberties and cut the silent dialogue heavy bits, such as when Yoda first confronts Emperor Palpatine. Songs used are as follows, in order:
A Path I Can't Follow- 0:00-2:02
Anakin vs. Obi-Wan- 2:02-5:50
Duel of the Fates- 5:50-7:21
The Boys Continue- 7:21-8:52
Battle of the Heroes- 8:52-11:33
The Immolation Scene- 11:33-14:14
Fun Fact: The final fight in Revenge of the Sith is commonly agreed to be the longest sword fight in cinema history, at around 12 minutes long!
Hello everyone, the release of Obi-Wan Kenobi tonight at 3:01 EST/ 12:01 PT has really been ramping up the engagement with this video! I’m glad you all could enjoy this little video I made for fun a year ago, and I’m so happy that all the Obi-Wan fans like myself are getting the show of their dreams. I want to remind everyone to be respectful to the shows creators and crew, and realize how lucky we are to have the show at all. It’s an honor to count myself as a fan of one of the greatest series of all time. Thank you all for coming by :) 💕 Edit: ONE MILLION VIEWS WHAAAAT You’re all so great. Thank you so much for getting me to this point :)

What was it like? I am around the same age of the movie so yeah anything else to describe it?
@@DubABattery Yeah people were generally excited, and while critics were happy to bash it, the audience for episode 1 really seemed to thoroughly enjoy the movie, the opening days had lots of eager crowds, but when this came on, all the idle noises you hear during a film (rustling of popcorn bags, coughing, occasional comments, etc, all disappeared.) Also the star wars cosplayers on the opening night were amazing. I was really young then though haha.
@@Bael_KnightMage What are you talking about. Literally everyone hated episode 1. I would be surprised if there were people that like it now, because it's really bad.
@@danielmurray3871 a lot of people like the prequels. It's actually becoming a more popular opinion now. people liked it initially, but the critics didn't. Then that changed, now it's changing again...
@@Bael_KnightMage I don't see how anyone could like episode 1. It has next to no redeming qualities. A good soundtrack and decent final fight (with no buildup) are the only good things.
The thing about John Williams's music, although EXTREMELY potent at conjuring up images and scenes from Star Wars, can also extend into history. Historic battles, epic battles, the soul of humanity in any galaxy. His music transcends time.
I’ve always said, Star Wars is Futuristic scenery with a medieval soundtrack. Listening to any of his pieces, especially from Star Wars, and imagining lines of Medieval knights, noblemen in high castles, or even a lone warrior against a massive dragon, it fits like a glove. Easily one of the greatest soundtracks of all time.
Why do they release a separate version for the cs version. Why can’t they just use the original soundtrack?
@@xenomorphic7887 I couldn’t agree more, “a path I can’t follow” makes me think of a noble warrior getting ready to fight, knowing it will be his last
@@xenomorphic7887 i dont know if "medieval" is the word for all of it. Some of it is medieval, but some of it sounds older and some of it sounds newer. And i think the reason it works so well is because of the "a long time ago" part of star wars, because that is what makes it so unique. Whereas other space fantasy/sci fi stuff that directly is about earth and humans need to look and sound futuristic in order for it to be genuine, star wars doesnt need to take earths technology and history in consideration when making the universe. As a result, it feels both really advanced and really old at the same time. And i think the music captures that perfectly
@@xenomorphic7887 Have you listened to Samuel Kims remix of somw Star Wars tracks as medieval pieces? its definitely worth the listen and to also see the art that is attached to the videos.

One of the best stories I heard about John Williams is when asked by Steven Spielberg to make music for Schillers List, he was shown the test screens without music, and left in tears. He then apparently turned to Steven and said. "I can't compose this, to do it justice you need the best musician in the world." Steven turned to him and said. Anakin v Obi Wan and Yoda v Sidious. Are the greatest fights in the saga. The stakes at risk, the emotion, the forces clashing in a violent storm as the world crumbles around them. We might never see another battle like this again.
As you saw the past 10 years of Disney Star Wars, we will 100% never see this kind of movie again, even though Disney has probably more like 10x the budget as Lucasfilm has before, but only 1x10^-10 the effort, care, creativity, love, emotions, etc. .

I've always loved the idea that by the time of 5:13 the battle has continued on for so long and the tension is so high that it is literally breaking the notes and the flow of the music... and also the idea that by the time the Force theme appears, Anakin and Obi-Wan have exhausted their natural staminas and are calling on the force to fight. As if though this is the moment the fight stops being about Anakin and Obi-Wan and instead becomes part of something greater.
