  • "The most offensive thing about Mr. Potato Head should be that he's STILL made of plastic." How is Bill Burr correct, sad, and funny at the same time? Genius!!!

      @Matthew-ve7uv@Matthew-ve7uv2 жыл бұрын
    • @@typezero8929 It’s interesting that your phone typed it! That may be because you’ve written it before. Smartphones adapt to your vocabulary, so if you repeatedly use a word with no obvious/easy typo to correct, your phone sometimes just adopts it. I would agree that “ingeniously” might be the closest “real” word. But I also think something like “astonishingly” or “prodigiously” might fit well! Words are fun. 😸 But ultimately, it’s fine to make up your own words; English is a living language that is constantly evolving. After all, even the word “upstairs” didn’t exist until the late 16th century and wasn’t used as a noun until the late 1800s.

Get up early, clean the house & do laundry, hit the liquor store when it opens for a bottle & a 12 pack, then park the car at home & walk to the corner bar when it opens for an extended "lunch". I'm better sober but when you drink every day you know how every day is going to end & that's not without appeal.

    • Yeah, I get that. During the lockdown, I was drinking an average of at least two bottles of wine a day, plus a bunch of beers, and it was kinda getting out of hand, so I decided to limit my drinking to three/four days a week (at least three days of nothing every week) and pretty much quit 50%. I've been doing that for about three months now, and it's going pretty okay - so good, actually, I might even extend the amount of weekly 'sober days', but for now it's working. Not saying you should pick up drinking again, of course.

    • right wingers will ruin anything... re this vid, i love seeing them get pissed off when Burr simply makes sane statements like saying how crazy anti-vaxx stuff is. they think bc Burr's known not to be the most PC comedian in the world that he's gonna be a psycho conservative. just like norm macdonald -- somehow republicans try to claim him even though he tweeted he's never once voted for a conservative, voted for Trudeau, and that Trump's "the biggest liar in US political history." Buncha chumps just mad that not a single decent comedian's a right-winger. But that ideology just isn't compatible w humor; hunorlessness is a salient tenet of conservtatism, in and of itself.
