  • Maybe a rough decision for Murthel but the pressure is always on the challenger to win decisively and he wasn't able to turn the tide in his favor until r4. Also, Nieky was clearly carrying an injury on his right leg, exacerbated by that first tumble. Good fight from both men.

  • people say murthel won the 2nd fight. I disagree, if you look at the priority scoring criteria 6:02 it was close and hence the split decision. in the end looking at the scoring criteria you see why. clean scoring strikes with spectacular technique is rated higher. Holzken had more of those. While Murthel had more normal strikes. But the tally only counts strikes landed, no difference between spectacular or normal. Nicky also inflicted more cumulative damage, again Murthel hit with one one one one, and majority blocked by holzken, never combinations landed.
