    • @samantha smoth what? Just because she’s African doesn’t mean she’s wearing African clothes. Although some African cultures have big headgears and feathered clothes somalis don’t. People who are very well known for their headgear are Native Americans. She literally is one of the only people who understood the assignment. This is also not known for any tribe so she’s not cultural appropriating them!

    • Most of them didn't even follow the theme. I just found out about the theme (I would never had a guessed if I just look at their dresses). I googled it, this year supposed to be about 'American Indepence. In America, a Lexicon of fashion' So yeah, this Met Gala 2021 red carpet moment just showing us about these celebrities knowledge and point of views about American indepence. Most are woke. Some are just showing there because of their sponsors, they basically don't have much liberty or don't even had idea to expressing their own ideas, just dictated by the big corporates and their agencies, some just glad to be there. Some just another narcissist who think the universe only centered at them. However, at least a few really showing their effort and genuinely respect the team they're working with, and I really appreciate them.

    • Designer actually created it so Iman could step completly out of the feather hoop to sit down and a smaller head piece for dinner. She was wearing a beautifully tailored pant beneath which perfectly matched her corset. Gorgeous!
