Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here: • 100th COUNTRY DOCUMENTARY
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.
We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;)
So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.
Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.
4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!
After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are in our 9TH YEAR of finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)
We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

This is when the ground is completely dark but the sun is still able to illuminate the exhaust gases high up in the atmosphere. This doesn't happen often, so I can fairly confidently say that this video was filmed on April 1!

    • Don't know when they filmed this, but SpaceX have had 11 launches from Vandenberg in 2024 so far. The descending light would have been the first stage booster coming in for a soft landing after separating from the second stage. There's a landing zone at Vandenberg that they use occasionally for this, but most of the time the requirements of the launch mean that the first stage lands on the drone ship Of Course I still Love You in the Pacific Ocean. This is now so routine that it's easy to forget what a technical achievement it is; they bring the first stage from 50 miles up, travelling at mach 10, to a soft landing on an autonomous drone ship bobbing about in the middle of the Pacific.

  • 28:19 - Air Fryer 2,500 Watts + Kettle 1,500 Watts adds up to 33 Amps at 120 Volts. The outlets in the Tesla Cybertruck are rated up to 20 Amps combined (which is 5 amps more than a standard outlet in your home). How you didn't melt that extension cord or blow a circuit breaker is amazing. You can buy 20 Amp extension cords, which are identifiable as the left blade of the plug will be oriented horizontal while the right blade is vertical. The T-shaped receptacle in the Cybertruck accommodates both 15 and 20 amp plugs.

    @SuperchargedTravels@SuperchargedTravelsАй бұрын
    • the kettle can be 2,500watts too. Mine is. And I run the kettle alongside a hotplate on a single cord so often. Did not give a thought about melting. The trick is that the kettle does not run more than 2 minutes. Maybe 3 if is full. And by the way, 2 percent of the battery is quite a lot. Half an hour for airfryer, is 1 1.25 kwh, plus the kettle still far from 2 kwh I have no idea of the battery capacity, but I assumed that is a lot more than 100 kwh

The main concern is people losing fingers.

I love camping in my hybrid mini SUV, as pod camping. I've camped a lot in my life, and nothing even comes close to how comfy it is to have mobile air conditioning.

  • Hi Kara and Nate, great video in the Cybertruck, I really enjoyed it. The object you all saw was a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch from Vandenberg AFB in Lompoc, CA. The plume around it is called the jellyfish effect. It occurs during morning launches and evening launches when the sun hasn't risen down on Earth, but it already has it space. It is the sunlight reflecting off of the rocket's plume. The yellow object you all saw that was falling from the sky was the booster landing on the droneship. It was relighting a single engine to bring it to a soft touchdown. So cool that you guys got to witness this awesome launch in person.

  • That UFO was Space-X's Falcon 9. They have 4 objects you can see. The booster, the cargo payload and the fairings (the shields that protect the payload) either satellites or manned crew. Verify it at space-X. But you had perfect evening/sunset launch. Bravo! So all four parts reflect the sun, and yes you saw the sound barrier AND stage separations of the booster and ship.

It would be roomy enough for someone over 6 feet tall and you'd have access to the screen for movies, etc.

It also has a 6 inch longer (72.92 vs. 67.1) and 0.4 inch wider (between the wheel arches, 51 vs 50.6) bed than the F150.

  • Good review and yep anyone using it regularly would soon ditch the manual air pump for an electric inflator. This setup seems useful for unexpected situations or going long distances and or off road where a caravan, trailer or campervan could not go or would reduce the vehicles range and increase energy consumption - the basecamp tent wont affect the Cybertruck aerodynamics or handling as it folds up to a compact size. I like that it does not take up any tray floor space so you could just leave it installed on the Cybertruck most of the time.
