Game 7 of their series where maru won his third gsl... Where it ends with one clutch tank shot, is less of a great game but is the moment I think if between these two. But thanks for providing a grander game! I love this series!
I believe I know the game you're talking about, but this is in reference to the 2018 GSL finals between Maru & TY right? This is the 2020 one!

It makes my day when these come up! If you take suggestions for them, then I would nominate 2013 WCS Season 2 Finals Group C - Innovation vs Taeja game 3 on Newkirk Precinct as worthy of such a title. Around the 30 minute mark the players are within a few hundred resources lost from each other during a mech vs bio TvT, then the game goes on another 20 minutes. It was glorious and one of the first matches I actually caught live when starting to watch the pro SC2 scene.

Holy jesus this is incredible. I completely forgot about this. Definitely need TY to come back. This is the highest level of late-game TvT and it's not even close.
it cant really stretch any longer. Its basically deplete almost every single base till someone runs out or looses the supply depots
This is the game where TY lost becuase he forgot to upgrade ship weapon.

At the End, he tap out too early, I thought he could win as All battle cruiser still disabled and Tanks all gone
@Ching Chieh Wang Deffinetly not Maru had double his army supply and minerals to make more units. Even if he somehow killed Maru's army he would have like 5 vikings and maru would just make marines and win.
The whole series was great actually.

Honestly thought TY would've won that last battle... much wow! There's a PvP match between Neeb and Astrea in my head which was just endless action from start to finish. Unfortunately I cannot recall any other details from that match...

I’m shocked that disables are still in the game, it’s like we forgot the lesson we learned with lockdown. Like at least give us counter play in a TVT and give us medivac pickup with siege tank again
Glad to see the game becomes more interesting since I quit but also more complex😢. Just gona stick with war3 for the fun and simple build order
You need to find that one insane tvt back when siege tanks could be lifted by medivacs, apologies dont remember the players.
The first time I ever enjoyed watching a TvT
The lack of weapon upgrades really hurt TY in this match, stuck on only +1 against things like building armor, and that fight in maru's base I'd say lost the game for him. With +3, taking down bases with BC runbys would be a piece of cake.

@@centrillopl5405 TY was much better against maru in this game, he can literally could have won, maru only had BCs and TY had mass vikings, take note that he was far behind air upgrades too, but he could definitely won that fight, mass viking is better than BCs
@@alucardlord9032 TY had 13 Vikings and 28 Marines before he tapped out. In comparison, Maru still had 28 Vikings, 2 Siege Tanks and 2 BCs. A few more seconds and that those TY Vikings would be gone and then the remaining Maru Vikings would annihilate the remaining Marines if they haven't been blown to bits by the 2 Siege Tanks already. Ty had no infrastructure and resources left so he really was checkmated after that fight.

TY tapped out. He was supply blocked too hard with no money. Not enough CCs or production to resupply. Supply would’ve been ~150 vs 50 after the fight.

Would love some suggestions - mostly doing this as pilot. There are great matches from the past but it’s really hard to source good quality footage
Sometimes I see the Pros have full supply and have a decent bank, but yet they don't start their next upgrades. Is it just APM overload, or some other reason?
Sometimes they forget, sometimes they think the money is better spent elsewhere

im glad they're putting the dates on now but im not interested in pre-patch games anymore since the new patch is the new hotness - the downside to staggering ur content releases - they can obsolete unless u strategically release them NOT after a new patch drops in order to show history more than current strats (which is what everyone is interested in right now)
Sc2 doesn’t change that much. I totally disagree that what everyone is interested is current meta strats.
