  • "Psychic Susie... she's done it again! It's a bit worrying, really! ... I wonder if she can read my thoughts!" 🤔 I love the dry, quiet, dutiful Rols patiently pecking away at helping Susie's parkland vision come to fruition on this grand ancient property! This was great fun, but then, it wasn't I digging and moving rocks from one end of the property to another for the umpteenth time! 🤭🤣 I love them both! ❤

  • I love you guys. ❤I sense frustration. You do have a lot to contend with. 😳🤔 my two cents? Just focus on immediate survival and peaceful existence. Your specific needs. And the rest for other days, months, years. Rethink digging up a courtyard. I’d leave it and get on with living needs. These other jobs can wait. Plant your food crops. Make a nice spot to rest in shade and bbq and drink tea and such. Focus on storage barn. House. Lessen your burden of worry if you can. I will pray for you both. You’re good people. 🙏❤️

  • No worries if you must make digging videos, dig away!!! We will "dig" with you! Our yard, or as you say, garden, is about the size of a postage stamp, so joining you in your adventures brings so much satisfaction! I'm so curious as to how big this stone courtyard is, or is it a path, and if so, where does it lead to? Wish so much i could come join you! Oh and the "raised gardens"? I have no idea why anyone should "lol"! They are significantly above the level of the grass and ground around them, so they are RAISED! Brilliant idea of raising them even more over time though, as you accumulate compost and materials to fill them with! As always, looking forward to your next video! So good to see sweet Suzi have the strength to do all this! Praise God for His mercies and blessings!

  • We will dig it ! Since in the past, people didn’t have lawns like in modern days, they had stone courtyards to stop dust and dirt from horses and other livestock, you very well may have a full stone courtyard buried under that grass. The question is do you want to leave the grass or remove it ?

    @machellep1@machellep120 күн бұрын

  • You two are really on a voyage of discovery! Probably a courtyard of some size. Was your property a Relais de Post? If so, a goodly portion of the walled area could have been stone so the wheeled vehicles wouldn’t get stuck in the mud

Perhaps you should turn your meadow into a temporary camp air and invite volunteers to come and help you? • Was it ever farmed ie a dairy herd with a milking shed? Because that raised platform of granite, next to the filled in narrower gap in wall, looks a lot like the platforms farmers in the UK used to have outside thier yards to put dairy churns on ready for collection by the milk float from dairy. The milk would be emptied out of the churns into tank on milk van or float, and the emptied churns put back onto the platform ready for farmer to recollect to clean and refill for next collection.

  • I have a Toyota RAV4 that has gone through four batteries in four years. There is obviously a dead fuse drawing down the batteries but no one seems to be able to figure out which one. I, therefore, remove the negative battery cable when the car is sitting in my garage and reconnect it before I run errands. No more battery problems! Quite a collection of granite, rocks and slabs you have there for future projects. A little rain and they will continue to multiply. 😅

  • Enjoy your channel but w/ your limited physical abilities & resources you both need to make a white board which prioritizes what needs to be done than check off what’s been achieved before new or lower level projects are worked on. This is your life but you’re like a dog chasing their 😂own tail 😅. Still incomplete kitchen, stairs, collapsing barn roof, repurposing out house, garden beds, field & barn, etc… every time you stick a shovel in the ground everything stops for a new daydream to be half started & everything else is dropped. Hope u get garden done soon or you won’t have anything to harvest by summer. You’re a patient man but sometimes things need to be reigned in… we now only watch you once a month as nothing to engage in or cheer you on for a project. You can get more Viewers to tune if there is a beginning middle & end as it were. Best of luck just concerned your physical & mental healths are taking a toll. ☮️
