"Eureka! Or... Yooreek-a? After intense experimentation, it was discovered that it's possible for the Ethereal elements to combine beyond Ethereal Workshop! However, this process is not perfect. Due to the instability of the Ethereal elements, this process causes some elements to "Twist" in new ways, becoming stronger and more erratic. It appears what was once thought to be mere experiments by Zarroe are, truly, a whole new clade of "Twisted Ethereals..." let's just call them Twisthereals, for short.

I’d like to imagine that the Twisted Ethereals are so unstable that they can only be bred “once the constellations align just right” (think Seasonals/Rare and Epic Monsters). Just my headcanon for how these things can exist in MSM lore without conflicting with anything.

Oh my god I love the idea of calling these dudes ‘twisted ethereals” My opinion of Cuddaloft: I love how the guitar noise it makes is kind of buzzing like a bee, and there’s little droplets coming off of it, almost like poison (or maybe the wax it dyes its floof with) Snarlequinn: I like the way it sounds like a slow, echoing merry-go-round! And I also enjoy how it looks like it’s in those funny boxes magicians use to make it look like they’re cutting in half and putting back together a person. YieYie: The way it duets with Fung Pray (peak ethereal) is magical. Or, should I say, ethereal? (Ba-dum tiss) And the way its eyes go every which way is actually kind of cute and dorky, love it.
