Nice match. I think if Mick was a better flipper he'd have beaten you in straight games. Several of your points were when he got caught having to return with the inverted and then had an ordinary ball to put away. I did think that you both served long way too much. Short or half long serve is the way to go for me. Was Mick too good at picking short balls for you to want to serve short?

Amazing serve to win the match - haven't seen you do that one before, that should have put you in good position against many opponents you have played in the past if it could stay that reliably short.

Thanks! I’m working on a ‘mini-jab’ serve that I can hit with backspin, sidespin or float with virtually the same motion, just varying the contact point AND it stays short. Keep yours eyes peeled for more coming soon 😊
