I think the biggest issue is that they both wanted to be THE Man.. unlike with Kyrie, who is content with being the second leader on this team.. Prozingis felt like his contract status afforded him the right to be the leader and Doncic was already seen as the leader due to his incredible play.. it was more egocentric for both of them..

The Mavs had no offensive schemes where the role players were moving or getting in position for a pass, and the Clippers locked them up completely. It was only when Kai or Luka dove in where it opened up, and they didn't do a lot of that.
