Nice video! I'd like to just add a small note here: contrary to popular opinion, a private jet is not a "luxury toy". They can be used every once in a while for going on vacation, yes, but a private airplane is nothing more than an asset, and an inevitable one when you get to this level of rich. When you have billions of dollars in assets, companies and investments to manage, they won't all be bundled together in the same city. You will have businessess spread all over the country and, in some cases, the world. You will need to show up, in person, to a lot of important appointments in a single day, and many will be in different cities. It would be completely unsustainable to rely on commercial flight at this point. So a private jet becomes a necessity. That doesn't mean you can't use it to take your wife on a shopping spree in a another continent a couple times, obviously.

They dont "keep" their money. They invest it where it generates interest and isn't generating cap gains tax. On top of this most major Billionaires keep most if not all in a semi liquid state, generally taking loans to fuel their life styles using shares as collateral then paying them off using divs. Coming out as neutral or as a minor loss in regards to taxes. Some have gone as far as avoiding owning property in general just to avoid the land taxes.

If I were to come into millions or a billion dollars, I think I'd start investing in old, declining neighborhoods by hiring professionals to help with rebuilding/remodeling houses, landscaping, putting in nice amenities, sidewalks, walk/bike trails, etc. Especially neighborhoods where the residents don't make much money but would be proud to live there and would take care of it. I would also start some kind of program to help young people who have aged-out of foster care and have to start living on their own. So many things to do!

If I were a billionaire tomorrow I would buy large plots of land and build tiny houses and give them to the homeless. More, those people who rent a property, from landlords who have unaffordable rents.. set up co-op's so that the people who live there could have farms to grow crops for the new co-op community. Let the people in the co-op who have skills use these skills to better the co-op as a whole.
If I woke up with a billion dollars tomorrow, first I’d be dealing with retirement security so that way nothing back fires in the future if I make it to old age, than pay for a death will and deal with everything hectic so that way no one would have to worry about it, than pay off my family’s house, than provide for my family, than make my family delighted with anything they want (even multiple things)- I’d pay for it all- just only not doing 1 billion dollars for that-the limit would be 1-2 million dollars, than I’d spend the money on anything I’d like to do (mainly traveling the world and taking advantage of the beauty of exploring around all day long while also doing something else there to probably simultaneously), than spending money for products that I want to buy (or at least save that money for time to come if I can’t think of what to buy), and save at least 1-3 million dollars as long it’s left for safety of making sure to buy a place to live at in the future if the current place I already lived at broke and possibly the rest for investing if there’s any left over while if I ever decided to anyhow
