  • I remember this. When Prince Harry and Prince William passed through a tunnel, when they came out, i saw them weeping. Like they weeped while walking inside the tunnel so that no people would see them cry, and when they came out, they tried to contain their emotion. Truly, Princess Diana, is the Princess of the Common People.

    • Same. I'm just shy of 40 years old, and I was 14 when this happened. I called my mother from a friend's house that evening and told my mother what had happened, and she turned on the news and started crying thinking of the two boys she left behind. My friend's mother was also in tears. Alas, we were a bit too young to understand entirely. It's only now with the wisdom of age that I've come to realize just how great of a person she was.

  • What breaks me watching back her funeral is knowing that all those boys probably wanted to do was privately grieve so they could find some way come to terms with their new reality. Instead, they appeased public demand and had to walk through that enormously heavy atmosphere where members of the public were allowed to react more than they were to their own mother’s death. One can see where they may have felt an obligation given Diana’s own commitment to the public, but William’s hung head and Harry’s visible unease say it all.

He will carry that guilt the rest of his life. That is not his fault. He was a child after all. BUT MAKE NO MISTAKE. IT IS EQUAL TORTURE FOR BOTH OF THOSE BOYS. Harry is just using it to make money for himself while William does things in her memory. Also, people who have a revolving door on their KP apartment and using their butler to sneak men in is far from a suffering marriage. She had a variety.

  • Wow, Diana would be 61 if she's still alive. Such a terrible tragedy that she's killed in a brutal car crash in Paris. If she was still alive, I would love to meet her. She's such an icon not only in the United Kingdom but all over the world. We love you Princess Diana and rest in peace. May flights of angels sing to thy rest.

    • Only thing is, she was not killed in a car crash in the French Tunnel, Diana survived, but her driver and her protection officer did not. Diana was still taken by ambulance to a hospital but it took ages getting there and was seen to stop many times, some people reported it, and said the ambulance was seen to be rocking from side to side? was she actually being murdered in that ambulance, to this day I think she was. I often wonder who wanted her dead? was it Prince Charles and Camilla his long term girlfriend.

    @wijdandaoub9967@wijdandaoub99677 ай бұрын
  • She famously said she wanted to be a Queen of People's Hearts and with all her kindness and empathy she had for others, she achieved that. I was a year older than Prince Harry when this happened and it broke my heart knowing someone younger than me had lost their mum tragically. I felt it more as I had also returned back from a week's holiday in Paris a mere 3 days before her tragic accident under the bridge by the River Seine. I remember feeling overwhelmed by the sea of flowers as I walked around Kensington Palace with my sister and I remember crying during Elton John's rendition of Candle In The Wind when the funeral was televised, my whole family watching. I was so shy back then I took time away from the TV to go upstairs to cry by myself in my room. The whole time I kept thinking that Prince William and Prince Harry didn't have the luxury to do this behind their mother's coffin or any part when they wanted to. Such was the requirement of duty for those young Princes. I really hope treatment of this changes for younger members of the Royal family - Prince George and Princess Charlotte in particular who are now second and third in line to the throne - mental health is so important.

    • Prince William and Harry were not given proper attention during their mothers burial procession. As if they were treated like adults without care of their feelings at all. How cruel for the boys. Prince Charles then was pretending to be lonely but I guess he was happy Princess Diana died but was shocked by the way people loved Princess Diana all over the world. She is a great lost for us and made a lot of people all over the world missed her loving and expressive heart.
