  • May Allah forgive us for all our sins. May He forgive us if we’ve wronged anyone. May He grant us a good end and allow us to see jannah everyday in our graves. May He protect us from every single punishment. May He allow us to receive our book of deeds in our right hand on the day of resurrection and may that day be the happiest day for us under His shade. May He allow us to cross the bridge of sirat faster than a blink of an eye and enter us into the highest jannah.     • Dear sister, Please take your son to see a psychiatrist. His condition may be treatable with medication. The longer you wait, the harder it is to stabilize. It is even harder when they become adults. Please, please seek help for him. I will keep him in my duaas.

  • This would the case with any recitation of surah al-Baqarah, but I want to thank OHAA, because I love his recitation so much, maashaAllah. I played this the other night, all ten hours--the house just felt "wrong," before that. I played it all night, from the evening until the morning, and when my son arrived back home from traveling for a day (an overnight trip), he commented on how clean and peaceful the house felt. He said the feeling was totally different than before. He didn't know anything about what I'd done. I told him what it was, and he was happy. I used it as a moment to remind him of the tangible good that comes from reciting Qur'an and also playing recitations of the Qur'an, when we can't recite for ourselves. And it's also just a reminder to myself and to all the Muslims who have environments we cannot fully control or protect: Allah has given us a tremendously powerful gift in the Qur'an--a weapon against the darkness in this world, a comfort for broken hearts, an intellectual contemplation point for tadabbur, and a guide for all mankind. It has taken me so long to begin to mature in my Islam, and to begin to value the Qur'an as it deserves (inshaAllah)...I pray that this comment is a shortcut for someone in need.
