next time you try making it, whip the eggs for a lot longer, with stiff peaks it won't slip off. you know its the right consistency if you hold the meringue over Bobby's head and it doesn't fall out of the bowl.
Hey! Culinary student here! While I can’t be entirely sure, I’m pretty sure the meringue slid off because you didn’t whip it long enough. It needs to come to stiff peaks rather than soft peaks to be more stable. Hope this helps if you ever decide to make it again in the future!
