There was definitely a method to his madness. I think his music was designed to be hypnotic. It certainly worked on me! (The joke is, I don't even believe in hypnosis)

Agreed, bowser is one of the best villains because he ISN'T serious. King Olly in Paper Mario TOK was an example of what a serious Mario villain would look like. Granted, Olly almost won, but still lost due to "not finishing the job until Mario gets there", Bowser does that almost every single time but that's WHY we love him. We might not want to see him win, but we DEFINITELY wanna see how the heck he is gonna pull it off.

I think Bowser's been changing lately. He could've warped reality as he wished, but he just put on a banger rave instead. He went from kidnapping to straight up being a metalhead badass
I don't know if you heard this already, but this entire concert was designed to *_hypnotize_* the whole world into doing his bidding.
I'm pretty sure reality was already being warped during this but this is still one of his best schemes for sure
I have to say, I mean, I could definitely see that argument about two decades ago, but I mean after 64 you really do see a bit more of a casual and goofy side to him the Paper Mario series being some of the best examples of that actually (except for sticker star and color splash)

It's a rave that would allow him to _hypnotize_ the entire universe - allowing him to control it! That's 100% bad guy right there. But the music was pretty fire, so it would have probably worked.

The beginning sounded like Queen, then it turned into Pink Floyd, then it became techno-Metal with a dash of SM64 thrown in for good measure... The more you listen, the more grungier the music becomes!
I love how lately, Bowser’s main schtick is music. And he just goes all in with it this time. I found myself asking, “Wait, why are we stopping this? I’m absolutely down for a Bowser concert. Where do I buy tickets?”
I mean I think he was trying to take over the whole world or something but hey, who really needs the world when you got a concert that goes this hard?

@@lunastifaliamusic That's what makes Bowser and Eggman so wonderfully ironic, like you said Bowser would make one hell of a good DJ and party planner, and Eggman's he can make a legit amusement park, in fact he can build fun running courses for Sonic and friends, dude can build all kinds of security robots and advanced toys for kids, dude can even live off the grid. Vector in Sonic Heroes asked an interesting question, IS Eggman secret loaded? But really imagine if Eggman build his machines to entertain rather than rule.
I’ve always loved that Bowser tends to have a more metal/rock boss theme compared to the rest of the games’ antagonists, and hot DAMN did they nail this one! This is legitimately one of the best songs in the game. Literally top five.

I really liked the musical incorperation in this game. Part of what everyone loves about mario and a big part of its charm is the music, and music becoming part of the game play just shows how this game is a love letter to the framchise

I love how the theme is same but it gets rearranged in some ways to sound different. the Phase 4 theme or as they say Finish, is different from rest.
In phase 1, it's a metal guitar In phase 2, more techno stuff is added In phase 3, it becomes more orchestral with the choir as well In phase, 4 it's a repeating build up

@@esmooth919 Yeah, games generally are fairly good at making rhythm mechanics visually accessible - Mario Galaxy's Beat Blocks weren't but every subsequent iteration of that mechanic has been, Crypt of the Necrodancer has the beating heart at the bottom of the screen, etc. The only sound-based mechanic in games recently that I can say are not friendly to HoH players is the sound puzzle in the Electric Trial in the original Pokémon Sun and Moon (the trial entirely changed in USUM).

Before the battle with Bowser he has 2 hidden dialogues which you can see if you play as Peach or use the Invisibility badge. If you play as Peach, Bowser will say this: "Bwahahaha! Ahem. Thank you all for coming today, especially you... MY BELOVED!", and then Peach will react in shock If you're using the Invisibility badge, Bowser will say this: "Bwahahaha! Did you really think that badge will fool me?! I see you!" and the rest of the dialogue is as usual If you play as Peach and use the Invisibility badge at the same time, Bowser will combine these two dialogues
