Not much to be said - it's a James Bond/007 mashup :D Most Bond theme songs have similar elements in them so my initial reaction to the song/lyrics etc was to do this. Hope you guys enjoy!!

  • All these people saying this is what the bond song shouldve sounded like, can’t hear the chorus properly. The added skyfall track completely wash out her vocals, and make it background noise. Not saying that the instrumentals together weren’t incredible because if you take the vocal out it’s fantastic, but it’s why Billie opts for a quieter sound

    • @@jackieereckson9288 it is a mashup tho, just because her voice wasn't used doesn't mean it isn't. A mashup takes elements from two or more songs and makes it one. In this case its NTTD vocals and the Skyfall beat.

  • I love both songs but I think No Time to Die sounds a lot better like this. Skyfall is like my favourite bond theme. I like No Time to Die, but I almost expected it to be more dramatic... to have a bit more oomph to it. This mashup accomplishes that beautifully.

  • sky fall is most definitely the best bond song but it’s because Adele’s voice fits so perfectly with the dramatic beats and themes. Billie did a great job on it though, her faint and raspy voice added something that the series has never had before which I think is a great thing.

  • As good as the original song was, I felt like there was a lack of that cinematic aspect, there was so many parts that could have made a great build-up, but it never really got going. Its a great song, but bond themes are usually cinematic and stuff, and this mashup adds that missing piece and I think its amazing

    • Mate, the tracks are made to suit the movie.This being the last bond film with daniel and judging by the trailer, the more tragic and less triumphant vibe of the song would kinda suit it better.But concerning the typical bond vibes, I agree it is less alike the skyfall one for instance.

  • Seeing as all songs written for the Bond movies must use the ICONIC James Bond theme of course its going to be possible to find those moments of synchronization. It's how each artist chooses to work with that theme that gives us such cool variation, and in mashing them together, its just SO GOOD

    • Brock Broadbent correct on that the songs are supposed to fit the theme but I don’t think that’s how it works when a Bond song is chosen. When a Bond film is in production, artists/musicians/bands can submit a song. Production doesn’t just go, Billie is popular, she should do it. Not sure if production pre selects artists to submit their version of the possible chosen song, but just because an artist “sounds” like they Would fit a Bond song, doesn’t mean they could create the next Bond song. When Writings on the Wall came out, people were pointing out that Radiohead’s song submission should’ve been chosen for Spectre. Personally, I think Writing’s on the Wall was the better fit, but whatever (I’m a huge fan of Thom Yorke btw). So, what I’m saying is that I highly doubt that production sends an entire film to multiple artists (many liability and intellectual property that can be leaked and misused). Maybe a very rough cut of the beginning scene that leads to the intro song is shown to the artists (a descriptive synopsis and highlights are sufficient to write the theme song), a synopsis of the film, general notes of what the film’s theme needs and what production is looking for, and possibly in communication with a producer(s). Also, the film isn’t finished in post production when a Bond theme song is being chosen and in talks for contracts. The film needs to be pic-locked for audio mixing, color correction, special effects, etc,. The intro sequence that plays over a song needs to be shot and the effects need to be made after the song is chosen for reference. So many aspects of the film are being made at the same time and are reliant of something else. Plus, Billie and Finneas made the intro song, not the score (which Hans Zimmer, the music composer of the film, put his flare on it when No time to die song was chosen). I’m sure the song is chosen out of demo submissions, then the chosen artist gets to work with the composer and the production them to work on the final song. Point is, I highly doubt Billie and Finneas has watched the entire movie for a song that is in the intro.
