I just didn't like the fact that zeus cheated, ruined a woman's life, make the whole village i darkness for years and he's still frame as the good guy. shallow viewpoint. first off he is a god. gods do what they like. also he loves the humans more than any other god he isn't the only person to start wars over poor decision making through love look at Hellen of Troy for an example. He is imperfect and that same imperfection is what caused this awesome series so shh.

I hoped Seraphim's arc would have ended differently. They developed the character very nicely, and even showed why he ended up being who he is after so much suffering in life. I hoped after all that build up, there would give him some redeeming quality at the end or even gradually. His never ending suffering, even after death was uncomforting to see. Good show though!
Yeah i felt the same, I thought the 2 brothers would grow to understand each other, especially since seraphim's childhood seemed much more sad, he always got the short end of the stick, it sucks that the twin with the easier path and more guidence gets the happy ending but at least it seems his story isnt over
He deserved that ending though. Let's not forget that he destroyed an entire village and killed many people. There is no redemption for someone who fell that low.

I loved his character so much. I just wanted to see him survive in some capacity with either switching sides and being "good" or straight up winning. Heron was cool and it would've been cute to see him and Seraphim act like brothers but I really like Seraphim more. He was intelligent and knew when he was being played but also knew when to back down and when to strike. I really hope that there is a season 2 with a better ending for him.

Blood of Zeus was AMAZING I enjoyed the series a lot I had a few iffy nitpicks with Heron's character tho because he felt more like a side character than a proper protagonist, especially for a son of Zeus since he doesn't do much? It's mostly Alexia or Seraphim that does anything tbh. Thankfully he redeemed himself at the end tho. I was a bit disappointed that Heron didn't use the sword that Zeus made for him as well rip. Even tho I really enjoy it, personally I think Blood of Zeus is good by itself with one season as personally I think it wrapped up rather well in the end, but I wouldn't say no to a season 2 even tho at this point I don't really don't have anymore questions that I need answering next, or know what and whose story they'd focus on/continue on next? If they're gonna make Hades the villain in s2 you've lost my interest, I'm tired of seeing him demonised tbh But who knows we shall see how it goes.
I have the same feeling towards Heron. He does feel like a side character and I think setting up the sword for him only to NOT be used by him is just dumb. I felt like Seraphim was more of an MC than him and I was really hoping for his redemption after he killed his uncle. But for some reason he still sided with Hera? Even though Zeus already told him that it was him who saved Seraphim and aided him along the way. The last 2 episodes were kinda weak tbh and I was expecting more from Heron than just using a one-time lightning bolt. Still a decent show nonetheless.
@@thejikzter6782 Yes! My thoughts exactly. It honestly did not make sense to me why he stuck with Hera, even if she threatened him, because didn't he hate having to abide by their orders? I don't get how he thought that helping her would do his goal any good... but I suppose it was for plot reasons. Seraphim was much more interesting than vanilla, generic Heron (ohh boy, underdog who has powers!!) I was also hoping for some sort of redemption too, though that'll probably happen in the future. If they decide to renew the season, I'd be veeery glad if it focused on someone other than Heron, guy just has zero appeal.
All that you mentioned about Heron is what makes it perfect for a season 2 return. That's when he would wield the sword and perhaps even inherit some of Zeus' powers. It is perfect. Seraphim from hell aided by Hades vs Heron aided by Zeus' powers and sword.
I believe a second season is needed Hera never got her proper ending (she did lost a hand tho) and her and all the gods who betrayed must suffer some consequences Who is taking Zeus place ? Poseidon ? Demeter ? Hades ? Hestia ? There is still enough material to do one more season

The only bad thing about the ending is that it sets up Hades as the next main villain. Its just uninspired.
I don't think it does at all. Hades knows what the villain hates the most other than his uncle: bowing to someone. It's his punishment for all the evil deeds he's done. I am hoping, like you, that he is not the villain next season, if there is another.
Hopefully the next villain could be thanatos because I believe he is actually evil in greek mythology also he is the god of deatht though maybe I am wrong about him being evil but there are other candidates such as eris the goddess of discord and the king of the titans himself CRONUS
Considering the developers clearly know their Greek Myth well enough to play with it, I doubt they will go that route. Hades was definitely just punishing him. But I definitely believe a Cthonic God will be a villain in the second season. Persephone perhaps? Hell, Hera could go another round.

If you think it well you'll recognise that there's no certainty he's dead. There was a flash of light and his head armour dropped, and we didn't see him. He could have vanished. That gives room for his return in future seasons.
Looks like Hades is going to be the villain again seeing that Seraphim used his bident as well as his dog Cerberus. Why did they have to do that? It's annoying as he is my favorite god in Greek mythology... #notmyHades

Not gonna lie I liked this alot and the anime looks amazing. I like the story of Heron but also his half brother. It sorta shows what happend on the other side. Also I felt horrible when Hera somehow made sure their mom died. I know she was hurt and wanted vengeance on Zeus but she just took it to a whole new level, really hated it. I hope they make more of this, this is amazing.

I felt bad for Zeus and Hera in the end, some men are tomcats and their significant others either got to live with it or leave. In this case Hera decided she wanted the ultimate revenge, Zeus death. But when he ended up sacrificing himself to save her instead, I'm sure she's already regretting that decision. Oh, and bisexual Apollo was a great addition! =)

So it turns out they plan on having 5 seasons but it’s all depending on how many people watch the first season within the first 30 days so tell your friends to stream it!!! It turns out it’s more about hades, Zeus, and Poseidon and how they split up the lands. Sounds so exciting !!!! I love love love the creators of this show. I love the faces of the characters they draw. It would mean a lot to me to be a voice actor on the show. Don’t even pay me just give me 30% royalties It turns out they are also making He-man and the masters of the universe (the adult version) for NETFLIX. Phil Lamar will be a voice actor and mark hamil as skeletor. It’s directed by Kevin smith. I can’t wait to see what it looks like

I feel sorry for Hera I didn't get mad or happy when she got to the end, but I kinda understand her feeling by being cheated on her so many times. In the end it was her left by her felt that what she had done she lost her husband lost her hand and lost the place. Everything is started from Zeus :(
Finally I'm not alone when it come to hera. Zeus is cheating multiple times, and the fact that his son literally cover his actions is down right messed up. And only when heron's mother died he said that he will never cheated on her anymore is kinda disgusting for me.

I'm real tired of Hera being cast as jealous. Hera was a very cheated on goddess. She actually loved Zeus or she wouldn't have given a damn. That was the problem. This kind of showed that more because Hera was half crying the whole time even as she plotted against him; she was a broken heart made flesh and power. The others knew it too. One of the other gods even muttered "Why can't he keep it in his pants?" (And I died.) And even his own brother told him he must be a fool to anger her. The whole war that basically turned everyone against each other based on who wasn't a bastard of Zeus, everything that happened to the twins and their mothers, all of it was Zeus's fault. I'm curious to see where it goes and now that the war between Zeus and Hera isn't the main plot line if they can flesh out the other gods and characters a little more. And maybe we finally get to see Heron use the damn sword!
I was waiting to see Hades in the show and then they hint at him being the bad guy in season 2. I hope that's not the case.

If she comes back I wonder if she’ll still try to kill Heron? Once Heron masters his lightning he’ll definitely be the strongest of the gods like his father. At that point I don’t think Hera will dare mess with him. Lightning is clearly the ultimate counter to Hera’s abilities.
Wait you hated her. I mean good for her for being a good villain for you, but i always pitying her. I mean she got cheated multiple times. Its so basic hades is demonized and portrayed as satan even tho he only cheated ONCE and is a good guy its not his fault a poor child whos trying get there wife back did the one thing he told him not to do

Best part of the show was Hera. Everything about her character from her design to mannerisms, character arc was perfect. Also I think she was scarier than the giants.
I almost complained about how much of a dull character heroine was but then I realized that the entire series was not really about heroine but was about Zeus and HERA.
Why do say Hera is a jealous person. You mean she's tired of his cheating and is always forced to except it. How she goes about revenge isn't right and she wants acknowledgement that her feelings matter. Now we have a situation of the children taking the punishment of the parents mistakes.
It was so awesome and brilliant this series, I hope we actually see in action to Athena for the next season, I mean she was literally Zeus' favorite daughter, goddess and right hand in the Greek Mythology.
Am I the only one who appreciates that Heron didn't use the sword? If he did it would be too predictable and boring, a hero is strong by himself not by tools.
I genuinely didn’t like this show especially the animation, it just seemed clunky and it didn’t really flow well in movement

Hera is a fertility goddess with ties to both the earth and the sky. There is a reason why she was Queen of the Heavens before Zeus came along.

I was waiting for Hades to show up the entire time I watched this show. So glad he finally did at the end. Now, I think him claiming he could save Seraphim from his fate by Seraphim kneeling was Hades just tormenting him further, so I really don't think Hades will end up being the villain of Season 2. The creators have such a great knowledge of these characters, that they should understand that Hades isn't a villain. He just minds his own business in the Underworld. If they get it wrong though, I won't be happy.

There’s nothing subtle about the scene at the end, because we literally have flashbacks to where Zeus tells Heron to look inward, and scenes where Seraphim is letting his vengeance take control. Still a touching scene but I think your giving it a little to much credit.
Not really a small detail but the giants that help Zeus and the Gods look like a Hecatoncheires and a Cyclops, the ones who helped the Olympians in the Titanomachy
The overall story seemed rushed. It needed at atleast 4 more episodes of character and world building.

I have an idea for a potential villain for next season. How about Nyx? She’s as old as the universe itself and is actually feared by Zeus in Greek mythology. That or Typhon? He’s been said to be the most dangerous monster in all of Greek mythology. Honestly they have so many options and it would suck to see them go down the cliche Hades route.

That dude with the bigass serpents on him may have been implied to be Typhon and the female giant next to him was probs Echidna. Idk. Titans escaping Tartarus is another option. Or another demigod turned evil?
