On today’s episode, DC is flying solo but he’s bringing some friends along for the ride! UFC 296 is almost here and who better to break down its main event than a man who’s fought both Leon Edwards and Colby Covington…former Welterweight King Kamaru Usman. With a combined fight time of over 1 hour and 53 minutes in the octagon with the two, who does Usman think has the upper hand in this matchup? Plus, Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett joins the show ahead of his fight against Tony Ferguson at UFC 296. Find out if Paddy believes he can put an end to the legend of El Cucuy. Then, Chris Weidman the former Middleweight Champ who suffered one of the most gruesome injuries this sport has ever seen stops by to talk about the upcoming ESPN documentary about his road back to the octagon called E60’s Chris Weidman: the Return. And Kamaru Usman joins the fun as we Tap in or Tap out.

    • It’s because he knows that Covington is going to win. He knows he had to work so much harder against him and he knows he got hurt a lot worse against Covington overall. He got bruised he got bloodied against Colby with striking. Leon striking did not damage usman at all. Other than that kick there was not a mark on him in three fights. Covington hurt Usman so much in just two fights with striking. He also knows in the third fight, he could not use his pressure/wrestling because his knees were gone.

I'm excited for the Chris Weidman documentary. Man 30 surgeries and still holding strong after all those tough moments really gives motivation and inspiration awesome resilience. I'm glad I watched this today. Thank you!

  • Colby will still be that same guy. He's kept in shape. He wasn't retired. He weighed in as a backup and therefore had a training camp. For Usman to say if Colby is the same guy, 100% he wins. . .that gives me more confidence in my pick - Colby

    • Plus Colby's long layoff wasn't because of him suffering serious injury, I think it will benefit Colby more than it affects him negatively in the fight. Unless Leon landed headkick, I don't see Leon finishing Colby in any other fashion

  • The people don’t understand what Kamaru is saying about Colby, Colby drains you and takes you to deep waters and makes guys give up and quit mentally and physically, Usman knows regardless of the win those fights with Colby aged him and probably ruined him.

  • Kamaru is right, most people are fairly set on either side, but I'm on the fence because of how Leon managed to win against Usman. Colby and Usmans fights were way more aggressive with much more output compared to Usman and Edwards. Stats show that for those who cant remember. If Colby brings that intensity to Leon maybe he can smother the kicking game, catch kicks and work his grappling. I think Kamaru was confident to stand with Leon and play the power-counter game as it had been so successful for him in the past, but Leon was content to stay outside of boxing range and throw kicks. If Colby goes forward, doesnt give that space & forces grappling constantly that seems like a winning gameplan. The question is will Colby have the cardio to constantly push the pace if Leon offers meaningful resistance & will Leon be able to land hard kicks to Colbys body that could hurt his breathing, and follow up with a high kick as he has done. Leons grappling skills arent being mentioned enough either. Never been submitted, gave up much less control time in Usman 3.

  • Leon only has 7 knockouts in 21 fights. There is some myth going around that he's some KO specialist. The guy got a lucky head kick on Usman. The third fight, he won but IMO, it looked like Usman didn't want to wrestle as much for some reason or maybe his knees really are shot and he can't keep that pace.

    @Astros-dz4bx@Astros-dz4bx4 ай бұрын
