Музыка крутая, запор говно блестящее! Можно просто закрыть и проволочкой связать . Эффект тот же. А если зимой ,то замок замёрзнет и хозяин не попадет домой😂
Петлю куда засов входит с одной стороны заварить с другой замок не даст засов вытащить.
Нужно было в ригеле отверстие под замок просверлить, чтобы замок его держал. Или заглушить ответную часть профиля, в которую ригель входит. А в таком варианте отломить ручку трубой или ударом молотка очень легко и тогда ригель просто вынимается.
Так я тоже думаю зачем замок когда можно винт выкрутить и вытащить в обратную сторону

А ещё проще выточку из паза вниз сделать и винт туда опускать, тогда и замок покупать не придется.
Да🤣взял отвёртку, выкрутил болт,выдвинул ригель в сторону не снимая замок 😉
Эта мысль пришла в голову через 2е секунды🤣

В закрытом состоянии к винтам не подобраться , но с права есть доступ , устраняется более длинным ригелем но уже после прикручивания , но уж лучше на сварку и к стальным дверям

This isn't a bad project at all,particularly for a small contractor and/or do it yourselfer with outside storage sheds or buildings,that probably already have items like this laying around,I know I do.The only weak point here is easily excess ability to the hardware hold it in place,,,and that's easily solved + a good primer/paint or cold galvanized spray to prevent rust.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. He should put a plate all the way to the left and weld it on so that way the rebar won’t come out if they unscrew the handle

@@Bonanza06c At first I was thinking well he should weld the screw onto the rebar but it’s kind of impossible because there’s not enough room to weld. So that is about the only thing he can do the world a piece of plate to close off that little pocket the rebar slides into

Good job the only flaw I see in this design is that if somebody figures out that all they have to do is unscrew that little knob that sticks out they can slide the bolt over to the left and pull it up on the left side that’s it. They don’t even have to touch the lock. So the only thing you would have left to do is to weld a little piece of plate on the angle all the way to the left so the bolt won’t come out. And when I mean Boat I mean Rebar

As a lock, it's useless. They can unscrew the bolt with a screwdriver and slided to the left and the lock is undone. To prevent that left handside receiving squre bar needs to be a bit longer and a lid welded on the left hand side so if they take the screw out they can't slide the lock bar out..... :)

nice project but no need for the lock. You can simply unscrew the handle and remove the rebar.
Unfortunately rebar is such a low grade steel that it can be scored with a razor knife and with a lite tap will break in a clean cut......
That is for honest people… one kick and it’s broken and no picking of lock needed

Oh dear! With modifications to prevent people removing the rebar to the left, this design _might_ be ok for holding a shed door shut, but really, just buy a decent bolt! Of course that doesn't get KZhead views, does it!
That was my thought exactly. It is strong and all but need to at least weld a stop on the piece the rebar goes into so it can't be easily removed. I've seen a few of these home made locking latches and each one while everyone is praising it, using common sense I'm picking them apart. So easy to break. I don't steal and can't stand a thief so nothing there would keep me out but to build a lock you must think like the people who's trying to break in and steal. Granted most thieves are dumbasses but still.
