Very nice video!! Ive replaced my water pump on my 2011 hemi 3 times and fan doesnt really need to come off. Glad you showed to scrape and clean surface before new install too. No sealant is needed, the rubber gasket and bolts torqued to spec are sufficient. Also, hemis are infamous for getting an air bubble that can't be forced out through burping...use that silver allen key bolt above the pulley to fill with more coolant until it spills out, then do your burping procedure as normal. I usually use a cardboard box to trace the new water pump on, then put bolts thru in exact place keep track of their placement easier.
Actually did the water pump and the oil pan at the same time, yeah you probably don't need to remove the fan for the water pump, although it made it easier to film. But I did find removing the fan helps you get the oil pan out very quickly
@@ExoticCarDIYNice! I didn't even think about that. Makes sense about easier filming too! 🍻
Solid job. I replaced mine 2 years ago and did the same mapping for the screws. Btw, where did you buy that grill and those tow hooks? I need those for my 2011 Hemi
I think I picked them up of market place or eBay? Anyway, I made a video on it, the description has all the part numbers kzhead.info/sun/iL6FpNSMb4ptjXk/bejne.html
@ExoticCarDIY I looked it up on the Mopar webpage, but apparently, they discontinued the tow hooks for the 2011
My 2014 E63 has weird gap between the bumper and the hood, need to adjust with the headlights
If you go to my E63 videos, there's one about repairing bumper holes, I do show you how to adjust the bumper Gap
Im on max adjustment on going in and up, still need 3-4mm difference, the owner before me replace the headlight and the adjustment is so off@@ExoticCarDIY
@@ExoticCarDIY My friend found a after market motor mount for w212 e63 and its rebuildable, creative steel's elimivibe motor mount for e63 w212, I'm a technician for Mercedes , around $350 a pair of oem mount and $500 for aftermarket mount.
@@MBZXZ creative steel made a few post on the forum, but at that time they only had him for the rear wheel drive, not the all-wheel-drive version yet. They said it was coming soon, are you saying that it's already out now?
@@ExoticCarDIY not so sure, but they listed as 14-16 e63/e63s aren’t the 14-16 standard with 4matic?
When I installed my new water pump, the serpentine belt didn’t spin. Not sure why that’s happening. Any ideas?
Does the water pump turn by hand with no belt? The belt routing is really weird on these, make sure you have it correct
@@ExoticCarDIY I definitely didn’t put the belt on correctly. Re installed and works great. Thanks!
