    • Stumbled upon this video and liked the format and interaction amongst the guests. Who else to have on the show? Mr Pirlo & Mr Henri, leveraging Mrs Abdo's amazing interview skills (great listener and only interjects when necessary to clarify and/or contextualise, prod along. Crucially, her guests seem to respect her understanding of the game enough to be comfortable around her. Plus, the Lady looks and sounds absolutely professional whenever on screen). Throw in an articulate and recent retiree due to football injury to cover everything around the mental resilience, strength of immediate family... needed to nurture an athlete back to trusting themselves enough to still enjoy the game. There's so much to cover, and these golden snippets from consumate professionals are not only a great listen but can be equally inspiring for the younger ones. Let's Stick to Football, indeed! What a start!!👐✔️

    • Same. Charlie's story is unfortunately very real for some. He just had the presence of mind at such a young kid to be the man. Looking out for his brother while contending the with shame of judging eyes and experiencing actual hunger. All this while trying to get the love of his father. When people apply the term heroes to performing sports people it's laughable. It's guys like Charlie who exhibit real courage.

  • For anyone old enough to remember the early 00s, Henry was the Haaland/Mbappe of the Premier League at that time - i.e. physically, technically, mentally superior to his peers. Every week he did something that made you go "wow, how can anyone stop him?"

  • Charlie is such an admirable human being. He said that Thierry and Ronaldo were his idols and who he looked up to. He is making lots of fans and lots of young kids who are struggling with issues that they feel are beyond their control can gain inspiration from him and his story. He literally against all odds made it to the Pros and made a career in this sport that continues to this day. It so tragic that even after that horrible childhood, he had to endure Cancer and that terrible car wreck. Hopefully he has nothing but happiness and contentment going forward. He is a great representative for this sport.

    • He compares Weah to American players. They need to just go for it, and let their talent speak for itself like Weah did. These players feel an invisible pressure by wanting to represent USA in Europe, but when they come home for international break, the difference is black and white and they just enjoy⚽️

Incredible content. Obviously I first saw Thierry in 1998 vs South Africa. That could’ve been his France debut! France won 2-0 in that game, he scored the second goal I believe and didn’t even celebrate. I knew then that the soccer world had a potential superstar in its midst. And the rest is history. As far as Clint I genuinely believe he’s in the top 5 in all time mls (USMNT) GOAT list along with Tim Howard and Landon Donovan. That’s a subjective view obviously but I stand by that.

  • Great guess ! I love Henry . His confidence is what made him such a beast on the field. Great respect for Charlie !! First time I saw him play when he scored on the Azteca. I was so devastated with his accident that I was actually mad at him. I want Pepi to develop the arrogance and hustle that Dempsey displayed throughout his career. Kate is so beautiful and charismatic . Great show!!!
