They can't just decide to play it worlwide, it has to be picked up by interestgroups (radio etc.) in other countries. The best way to gain fame is of course to be played in the US, but they RARELY take in music from outside their borders, which hinders a lot of great artists. It's the same reason the hit "am i wrong" is just now becoming popular in the US, while it's over 1 year old.

A Norwegian girl showed me this song back in the day. It's amazing what great music is coming out of the Nordic Countries and for some reason only Iceland has been getting any kind of recognition internationally. Such a shame

I dunno....heard about ABBA, Roxette or Avicii? Sweden is the #1 music exporting country by far. I guess they have a more international "sound" in their music...or generic if you want. Most underrated is probably Norwegian music (excluding black metal wich is for for people with special interests),
